     Sharon Emily Poff was buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Lebanon, Linn Co., Oregon.³ She Sharon Emily King, 61, of Crabtree, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Lebanon Community Hospital. A graveside service was held at the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery. She was born July 28, 1938 in Emmett, Idaho, the daughter of Clifton and Leah Blackburn Poff. When she was 12, her family moved to Orick, Calif., where they lived in a lumper camp. They later moved to Smith River, Calif., where she graduated from Del Norte High School in 1956. She then attended attended Brigham Young University and Humboldt State, University, where she studied to become a teacher. She worked as a meter maid in Eureka, Calif; until 1966, when she moved to, Blue Lake, Calif. and worked as a title reading director for Blue Lake Elementary School until 1981. She moved to Crabtree that year and again worked at the local elementary schools with children who struggled to read. She resided in Crabtree until her death. Throughout her life, she worked at several Circle K and 7-Eleven stores. King was an avid reader and she loved to write. Some of her favorite things were watching her grandsons play football and baseball, walking on the beach, crocheting, quilting and being with her family. She also took great pride in her ability to give the gift of reading to a child. She mariried Wayne King in Albany in 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Leah; and two infant sons, Phillip and William. She is suivived by her husband, Wayne of Crabtree; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Diane Baxter of McKinleyville, Calif; two stepdaughters, Marie Haze of Eugene and Donna Jackson of Bakersfield, Calif; a stepson, Wayne King Jr. of Albany; two grandsons and six step-grandchildren.³ She was born on July 28, 1938 at Emmett, Gem Co., Idaho.^3,4 As of September 25, 1957,her married name was Baxter.² She married Riley C.      Riley C. Baxter was born on May 23, 1936.¹ He married Sharon Emily Poff, daughter of William Clifton Poff and Leah Blackburn, on September 25, 1957 at Humboldt Co., California.¹ Riley C. Baxter died on October 31, 2002 at age 66.

He was born July 12, 1935, in Eucha, Okla., the son of James and Ellen (Hutchison) King. He lived in Oklahoma during his early childhood then moved to New Mexico. He moved to Cove Orchard, Ore., in 1950. Mr. King served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He lived in Eugene for many years before moving to Crabtree in 1979. He owned and operated Timber Town Cab Company in Albany for almost 20 years. In 1982, he married Sharon in Albany. She died in 1999. ' He is survived by daughters Donna Jackson of Bakersfield, Calif., and Dorthea Marie of Eugene; son Dewayne King Jr. of Albany; step-son Randy Baxter of McKinleyville, Calif; brothers Donald King of Yamhill, Doug King of Aumsville, and James King of Stayton; sisters Beverly Collins, Linda Burt and Elizabeth Healon, all of Salem, and Sue Keiser of Albany; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. on December 4, 2002.⁵

Alma Joyce Hutchens Deel, 74, of Vinton passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024. She was a daughter of the late Caroll Hutchens and Bessie Gross. Born Dec. 24, 1947, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Cecil William and Catherine Lee Tiller Alford. He was a retired auto mechanic and of the Protestant faith, in addition to his parents, two sisters, Shirley Alford and Brenda Alford Lippencott and three brothers, Calvin Ray Alford, Ronald D. Alford and Thomas Alford preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Lavinda McAuliffe of Westchester, Ohio; two sons, Charles Ray Alford II of Roderfield, and Charles Grady Alford of Princeton; two grandchildren, Brennan Channing Portz and Grady Devin Alford; three brothers, Robert Frederick Alford of Aurora, Colo., James Edward Alford of Houston, Texas, and Paul W. Alford of Princeton; two sisters, Linda Witt and husband Ronald and Patricia Tolley and husband Buddy all of Princeton.      Thelma Pauline Rash was buried at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, Cabell Co., West Virginia.^2,3 She was born on July 5, 1940 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of May 1, 1956,her married name was Blankenship.¹ She married Emory Lee Blankenship, son of Emory Blankenship and Cleo Blouie Terry, on May 1, 1956 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.^1,2 Thelma Pauline Rash died on July 13, 2015 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia, at age 75.² She Thelma Pauline Blankenship, 75, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born July 5, 1940, in Princeton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Marvin Daniel Rash and Gladys Pauline Matheney Rash. She was formerly employed for 27 years with Corbin Ltd., and retired from the Marshall University School of Medicine. She was a member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church where she played in the "String Band." She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Stewart Chapman Jr., and Matthew Chapman, a son-in-law Michael Mount and five brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lee Blankenship; her stepmother Mary Lou Rash of Clendenin, W.Va; three daughters, Trish Mount of Ona, W.Va., Sherry (Rusty) Dobbins of Barboursville, and Lisa (Bobby) Reynolds of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Barboursville; three sisters, Gail Hughes of Nancy, Ky., Kay Craft of Mechanicsville, Va., and Faye Lester of Richland, Va; one brother, Ray Rash of Beckley, W.Va; eight grandchildren, Jason (Veronica) Napier, Jessica (Latoya) Napier, Andy (Kama) Reynolds, Samantha Taylor, Amanda (Brett) Bocook, Shawn (Monica) Mount, Kathy Adkins and Kim (Keith) Zimmerman; and 18 great-grandchildren. on July 15, 2015.²
