She worked doing Whatever needed to be done-farm work, taking care of her kids, grandkids, and garden work. She always had a big garden and she canned hundreds of jars of vegetables and fruits. Billy was a modest man when it came to reveling his talents, being careful not to be boastful, as he was blessed with many. He enjoyed building doll houses for his daughter and doing prize winning wood carving that he shared with his friends. He found much pleasure in the beauty of nature while hunting and fishing. Billy loved music and he shared his musical talents with friends and family. Bluegrass being one of his favorites. He never missed an opportunity to attend a music festival or a neighborhood gathering. His exuberance and energy were boundless and this was never more apparent than on the dance floor. He didn't mind showing anyone a dance step and was always ready to learn a new one from others. Family gatherings delighted his heart. He passionately loved all his family and his many friends. He called so many friend and all were special to him. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Fairmont Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Leonard Castleman, Pastor Joe Dillon and the Rev. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.      Winford Eugene Clingenpeel was buried at Fairmont Baptist Church Cemetery, intersection of Rt. 643 & Rt. 739, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,7 He was born on June 23, 1929 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^8,2,5 He married Doris Marie Guilliams, daughter of Walter Lee Guilliams and Florence Abbie Gail Richards, on November 2, 1954 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2,4 Winford Eugene Clingenpeel died on January 8, 2008 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 78.^8,2,6 He Winford E. Clingenpeel, 78, of Boones Mill, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. He was born June 23, 1929, to the late George Henry and Sarah Clingenpeel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Guilliams Clingenpeel; brother, Gordon Clingenpeel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lee and Abby Guilliams; brother-in-law, Billy Guilliams; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Margaret Holt. Winford was a member of Fairmont Baptist Church and he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the war was over he worked for the VA Medical Center as a nursing assistant where he retired in 1989. He was also a lifelong member Boones Mill Rescue Squad and Fire Department. Surviving are his children, Michael and Debra Clingenpeel , Rickey and Janice Clingenpeel, and Teresa C. Frith; grandchildren, Shannon and Adam Riley, Jessica Clingenpeel, Ryan Clingenpeel, Sierra Frith and Brittany Frith; one great-grandchild, Abbigail; "adopted sons" Scott and Jason Guilliams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Barbara Clingenpeel, Delma and Alma Clingenpeel and Jean Clingenpeel; one sister and brother-in-law, Alice Mae and Eli Price; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elsie and David Bowles and Elizabeth and J.P. Bowles; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Marie Guilliams and Doug and Cathy "Kitty" Guilliams; and many other nieces and nephews. P. Bowles Sr., 89, of Boones Mill, VA passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. He was born October 20, 1929 the son of the late Johnny Lewis Bowles and Annie Viola Walters Bowles. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Alan Dale Bowles; sister, Ethel Catherine Garinian; brother, John David Bowles. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Liz Bowles; five children, Patsy Carol Dudley, J. P. (Skip) Bowles, Jr. (Doris), Randy Bowles (Becky), Brian Bowles (Ruth), Bruce Bowles; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; sixteen step great grandchildren; four step great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.      Alice Marie Bowles was buried at Fairmont Baptist Church Cemetery, intersection of Rt. 643 & Rt. 739, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,3 She was born on October 22, 1936 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,4,5,3 As of March 13, 1955,her married name was Guilliams.¹ She married Jimmy Lee Guilliams, son of Walter Lee Guilliams and Florence Abbie Gail Richards, on March 13, 1955 at Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,6,2,3 Alice Marie Bowles died on February 29, 2008 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 71.^4,2,7,3 She Alice Marie Guilliams, 71, of Boones Mill, went to see the Lord on Friday, February 29, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lottie Bowles; two brothers, Junior and J.D; one sister, Lois; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Abbie Guilliams; two sisters-in-law, Doris Clingenpeel and Margaret Holt; and three brothers-in-law, Billy Guilliams, Bill Holt and Winford Clingenpeel.      Ralph Edward "Nick" Webb was buried at Franklin Memorial Park, Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.^3,4 His Social Security Number was 227-46-6087.⁸ He was born on March 3, 1914 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^8,4,6 He married Lura Estelle Richards, daughter of Robert Edward Richards and Vina Jane "Vinnie" Sowder, on December 24, 1936 at Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4,5 Ralph Edward "Nick" Webb died on June 23, 2008 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 94.^3,8,4,7 He Ralph Edward (Nick) Webb, 94, of Callaway, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2008. He operated a saw mill and was an active farmer until age 90. He was a longtime member of St. Peters Episcopal Church and an active supporter of the Phoebe Needles Center where the Webb Lodge is named in honor of him and his wife. He was born March 3, 1914, to the late John Thomas and Mattie Mason Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William and Odell Webb; sister, Carrie Guilliams; and son-in-law, Karl Flora. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Lura Richards Webb; sons, Donald and wife, Dorothy Webb, of Rocky Mount, and Ronald and wife, Deborah Webb, of Callaway; daughter, Patricia Flora, of Fairfax; grandchildren, Donna Webb, of Nashville, Nicole Rayle, of Greensboro, Kyle Flora (Meghan), of Broadway, and Kevin Flora (Jennifer), of Reston; great-granddaughter, Natalie Flora; and sisters, Mildred Guilliams, of Danville, Eva Agee and Lottie Walters, both of Callaway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
