Born May 24, 1932 in Kellysville, he was the son of the late Robert and Alice Whitt Whitlow. He retired for health reasons in 1982 from Consolidated Coal Company Itmann Mine. Prior to working in coal mining, he worked in the timber industry. He was of the Protestant faith. Benny had made his home in Princeton for the past five years with his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Katrina Whitlow. In addition to his parents, five brothers, Larry Whitlow, Harry Whitlow, James Whitlow, Dean Whitlow and Houston Whitlow; and two sisters, Lois Whitlow Proffitt and Betty Jo Whitlow Jones preceded him in death.
