Violet retired from Oscar Mayer as a line operator, and after retirement worked at Isabel Bloom. Violet and her husband lived in Milan, but was very proud when they purchased their dream home in Kirkwood, IL. They loved traveling together. Violet enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and Isabel blooms. Her biggest joy was spending time with her siblings and their families. Violet is survived by her siblings, Charles (Carol) Crocker, Pauline Peterson, and Rosalie Davis; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A South Florida resident since 1952, Mr. Covey was a retired Master Sargent with the U.S. Air Force and worked with Pan Am Airlines for many years. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Patricia Anne (Jose) Crespo; granddaughters, Deborah Anne (Rodney) Baker and Elizabeth Anne (Bart) Adams; his loyal companion, a Schnauzer named Duke; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28th, beginning at 11:00 am, held at The Sunshine Cathedral, 330 SW 27th Street, in Ft. Lauderdale with the Reverend Grant Lynn Ford and Dr. Rodney Baker officiating. Inurnment will follow along side his loving wife, Leonor who died in 1989 and is burled in Cali, Colombia. on September 26, 1999.4
