Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Rev. Melvin Jamison officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family 6 to 9 p.m. today, Saturday, at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.      William Fredrick Paxton Sr. was born on June 22, 1940 at Marion Co., West Virginia.1 He married Patricia Mathews circa 1984.1 William Fredrick Paxton Sr. died on May 10, 2009 at Middlefield, Geauga Co., Ohio, at age 68.1 He William Fredrick Paxton Sr., age 68, of Middlefield, died Sunday afternoon, May 10, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 22, 1940, in Marion County, W.Va., son of Roy William and Elizabeth Pearl (Loudermill) Paxton. He served in the U.S. Army medical service USAR from 1956 to 1958 and in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. William married Patricia Mathews. He lived in the Burton-Middlefield area for 18 years, coming from Garrettsville. Mr. Paxton was a machinist at Speed Selector in Chagrin Falls. He was a lifetime member of Garrettsville Eagles, enjoyed fishing, watching football, and spending quality time with family. Survivors are his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia; sons, William F. (Lisa) Paxton, Jr. of Hiram and Robert W. (Mary Ann) Paxton of Bristolville; his step-daughter, Kelly (John) Ober of Hiram; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria of Florida and Betty of South Carolina; and brother, Chuck of West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elizabeth Pearl Paxton; and his brother, Kenneth. on May 12, 2009.5
