Liam Gerald McCaul Liam McCaul, Jul 21, 2001 - Jun 25, 2025. Liam Gerald McCaul, 23, of Nashville, TN and formerly of Troutville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Kathleen McCaul and his maternal grandfather, Roy Correll. He is survived by his mother, Amanda McCaul of Troutville, VA; sister, Emily Taylor (Samuel) of Asheville, NC; sister, Allison McCaul of Nashville, TN; grandmother, Phyllis Correll "Grammy" of Roanoke, VA; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly. Liam passed on with his father, Hugh, where he will be at peace. From an early age, Liam was a natural teacher, always eager to share his passions with others. He was gifted at all things athletic and musical, and he grew to master anything he set his mind to: Baseball, guitar, saxophone, karate, swimming, tennis, card tricks, yo-yoing, and solving a Rubik's Cube in under 30 seconds. He was a smart, thoughtful, and inquisitive boy. His smile and spirit lit up rooms - especially those filled with his family and friends - they cherish fond memories of their time with him. He graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and James Madison University with a B.A. in Business. His interests evolved to many talents in his adult years, including music, chess, weightlifting and entrepreneurship. He was seeking the next path for his life's journey, as many of us do. He had dreams of traveling, moving to big cities like Chicago and starting another business. In Nashville, he experienced the beginning of his career and fitness journey.4 He was born on July 21, 2001 at Roanoke, Virginia.3,4 He died on June 25, 2025 at Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 23.4
