In retirement, she lived in Florida and worked part time for "The Mouse" at the Christmas Shoppe at the Disney Village. She delighted in taking family and friends into the parks with her cast member pass. on April 16, 2019.³

Americus Wood Conner, retired Disciples of Christ Minister, died last night at the home here of a daughter after a long illness. He was 78 years old. Mr. Conner was born in Shelby county, the son of James and America Conner. His father was a pioneer Disciples minister. Mr. Conner married Miss Mary J. Cadwallader in 1875, the year he was ordained. Mr. Conner held pastorates in Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Canada. His Indiana charges included Lafayette, Franklin and Columbus. He had been a Chautauqua lecturer and in 1909 he organized the boy's friend movement, lecturing throughout the country to get adults interested in boys' work. The widow, the daughter, a foster-daughter, four grandchildren and a great-grandson survive. Among those are Mrs. Roland B. Rust, of Richmond, a granddaughter, and Roland B. Rust Jr., the great-grandchild. on May 11, 1932.⁵
