     Donald Robert Compton Donald R. Compton, age 85, of Ellett Valley, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at his home. Don was born on August 10, 1936 to the late Claude and Winnie Compton. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Compton; brothers, Carl, Gordon and McArthur; sister, Carol Frances (Fran) Cumbee; brothers-in-law, Clarence Viers, and Alvin Akers. He was an employee of the Radford Army Ammunition plant, where he met his late wife, Georgia, after serving 8 years in the U.S. Army. They both passed in the home they built together. He is survived by his sisters, Nelva Viers Akers, Dot and her husband, Jimmy Howery, Cathy and Kenneth Meador, Pat and Melvin Barnett; stepdaughter, Karen Russell and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Kaitlin Price, Kalley and Evan Ahmann, Kolten Price; sisters-in-law, Joyce Compton, Mary Page Compton; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Cumbee, Arnold Lafon; as well as many wonderful friends and family members. Survivors include her mother, Betty Compton, Fairiawn; father and step-mother, Don and Georgia Compton, Ellett Valley; sons and daughter-in-law, Paul and Lisa Caldwell of Blacksburg; Christopher Caldwell, SC; ex-husbands and special friends, David Phillips, SC; Petey Caldwell, Blacksburg; grandchildren, Skyler Caldwell, Austin Smith, Dakota Decosta and Aston Decosta; sister, Wanda Pettus, Blacksburg; many aunts and uncles; niece and her spouse, Kim and Robert Price; two great nieces, Chelsea Price and Carley Price; one great-nephew, Robert Dwayne Price and a very special friend, Mary Johnson. Interment will follow in the North Fork Cemetery, Montgomery County. on April 18, 2006.³

The family wants to give a special thanks to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad and the doctors and staff at University of Virginia Hospital. Interment will follow in the North Fork Cemetery. on June 26, 2002.⁶

He was born November 20, 1954 the son of the late Edward Clinton Booth and Mattie Marie Midkiff Booth. He was also preceded by two brothers, Everett and Johnny; grandchild, Aaron Wood; nephew, Bobby Wills. Surviving are the love of his life, Clara Booth; children, Tim Wood (Laurie), Tommy Booth (Kelly), Scottie Booth (Brittany); 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Booth (Lisa); two sisters, Barbara Gaddy, Janie Bailey; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Antioch Church of the Brethren.
