     Bobby Joe Terry Bobby Joe Terry, age 76, husband of Teresa Fowler Terry, passed away on August 5, 2022, at his residence. He was born on February 24, 1946, in Oceana, West Virginia to the late Walter and Edna Earle Burke Terry. Bobby started his working career at Van-Slyke Volkswagen in Owensboro, Ky, and was a long-time manager of Conrad Chevrolet in Lexington, Ky. Besides his wife, Bobby is survived by two sons Christopher and Jacob "Jake" Terry, one daughter Stephanie Terry, two grandchildren Jayden and Myah Terry, two sisters Sharon (Darrell) Connor, and Donna Stroble, and his first wife Cynthia Terry, and a special niece Lisa Terry whose life-saving gift of a kidney gave Bobby four more years with his loving family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Danny and Charles "Butch" Terry.² He married Teresa Fowler.² Bobby Joe Terry married Cynthia A. She enjoyed gardening, helping others, spending time with family and friends, and watching her grandchildren's activities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny L. Terry (1996); brothers, Thurman Gilmore (1994), Edward Gilmore (1996), and Dennis Gilmore (2005); and sisters, Ann Crabtree (2008) and Mary C. Terry (2015). Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Dawn Terry of Philpot; grandchildren, Jamie (Ethan) Fulkerson of Owensboro, Dani Lee Terry of Philpot, and Dustin (Liz) Morris of Philpot; great-grandchildren, Saige Fulkerson and Taylor, Kaydance, and Jack Morris; brothers, Francis Gene Gilmore of Knottsville and Eldon Gilmore of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews and many friends.      James Edward "Jim" Strobel was buried at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, West Ninth Street and Bosley Road, Owensboro, Daviess Co., Kentucky.³ He was born on September 23, 1944 at Daviess Co., Kentucky.^2,3,5 He married Donna Gayle Terry, daughter of Walter Glenn Terry and Edna Earle Burks, on May 17, 1979 at Robertson Co., Tennessee.^1,2 James Edward "Jim" Strobel died on December 31, 2021 at Kentucky at age 77.^3,4 He James Edward “Jim” Strobel passed away last New Years’ Eve. Having dealt with obstacles like Covid, bad weather, and long-distance family, Jim and his family have waited patiently to see him properly laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery next to his mother and father, Hazel and Frank Strobel. Jim grew up in Owensboro as one of five siblings, Wanda Williams, Dolores Kirk, Frank Strobel, and Tony Strobel. As a young man, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Soon after returning home, he married and had two sons, Shelby Strobel and Maison Strobel. Jim worked as a manager for the Owensboro Country Club and in his later years, worked in sales at Moon Lite Bar-B-Que until his retirement. Jim loved fishing, hunting, coin collecting, and playing cards with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Donna Strobel; siblings; sons; grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace. on September 30, 2022.⁴

     Mary Cleta Gilmore Mary C. Terry, 74, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born September 10, 1940 in Daviess Co., to the late Jess and Virgie Coomes Gilmore. She was a retired Certified Nurse’s Assistant having worked at Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital and Owensboro Medical Health System. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and had participated in the Perpetual Adoration at the Carmel Home. She was a great seamstress, enjoyed flower gardening, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Clark in 1991, a granddaughter, Kendra Clark in 1996, a sister, Ann Corky Gilmore, and three brothers, Thurman, Edward, and Dennis Gilmore. Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Clark and husband Keith and Lisa Terry (Jeff Renshaw), all of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Joshua (Bailey) Bennett, Olivia (Jacob) Gerteisen, Jacob (Brooke) Bennett, Parker Clark, and Gabriella Clark, all of Owensboro, four great grandchildren, Allie, Aubrey, and Kailey Gerteisen, Hayden Bennett, and soon to be great granddaughter, Madelyn Bennett, a sister, Jeanene Terry of Owensboro, and two brothers, Gene Gilmore of Knottsville and Eldon Gilmore of Owensboro.
