Mr. Hushaw operated a meat market at Pipestone and Britain, Benton Harbor, 30 years ago and also operated a market in Sodus. Mr. Hushaw was born May 7, 1861 in Lagrow, Ind. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Brown, 1010 Columbus avenue, Benton; Harbor, with whom he resided, several nephews and nieces and five grandchildren. His wife, the former Nellie Buckman whom he married May 16, 1888 at Sodus, preceded him in death. Also surviving is Gladys Evans, who has resided with the Hushaws since eight years of age. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the Dean mortuary, the Rev. Floyd Barden, of Sodus, officiating. Burial will be in Shanghai cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary. on January 4, 1941.5

     Mildred Leona Meyers YAKIMA - Mildred L. "Mid" Ross-McFather (88) of Zillah passed away in Yakima on Tuesday July 12, 2011. She was born in Scottsbluff, NE on December 8, 1922 to William and Ethel (Clary) Meyers. Mildred moved to the Yakima Valley in the mid 1930's and worked as a waitress at the Bungalow and the Branding Iron in Toppenish. She later worked at Stokeley's Warehouse until retiring. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, music and dancing. Her family will remember her as a fabulous cook. She is survived by two sons, Ted Ross and his son, Gary of Zillah, Kenneth Ross and children, Shelly, Tracy, Kevin, Lori, Leona, Keenan and Millie of Bangor ME; two daughters, Dixie Ross and children, Aimee and Tony and Debbie Disney and her sons, Tyler and Travis both of Zillah; one sister, Betty Brueckner of Phoenix, AZ; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1st husband "Bump" Ross; 2nd husband "Red" McFather; 4 sons, Billy, Jerry, Robert, and Thomas; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be held on Friday July 15, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home from 1-5 PM. Funeral services will be on Saturday July 16, 2011 at 11 AM at Colonial Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Zillah City Cemetery.5 She was buried at Zillah Cemetery, Zillah, Yakima Co., Washington.5,6 Her Social Security Number was 537-18-0893.7 She was born on December 8, 1922 at Scottsbluff, Scotts Bluff Co., Nebraska.1,5,6,7,2 As of June 25, 1938,her married name was Ross.1 She married Charles LeRoy "Bump" Ross on June 25, 1938 at Wapato, Yakima Co., Washington.1,2,5 As of September, 1995,her married name was Ross-McFather.2 Mildred Leona Meyers married Willie "Red" McFather in September, 1995 at Shelton, Mason Co., Washington.5,2,8 Mildred Leona Meyers died on July 12, 2011 at Yakima, Yakima Co., Washington, at age 88.5,6,7,9
