     Mattie Gaynell Skeens was buried at Highland Memory Gardens, Rt. 11 between Dublin and Radford, Pulaski Co., Virginia.1 Her married name was Wimmer.1 She married Charlie Willard Wimmer, son of Charles Lucas "Charlie" Wimmer and Ethel Gertrude Furrow.1 Mattie Gaynell Skeens was born on June 3, 1924 at Russell Co., Virginia.1 She died on August 2, 2010 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia, at age 86.1 She Mattie Gaynell Skeens Wimmer, 86, of Fairlawn passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 in the Pulaski Health Care Center. Born June 3, 1924 in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jefferson Skeens and Mary Magdaline Fogleman Skeens. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Sara Dishner Skeens; one brother, Stanley Skeens; and four sisters, Bessie Skeens, Florence Skeens Chester, June Skeens Isaacs, and Jean Skeens Owen. She was retired from RAAP with 38 years of service and was a member of the Dublin Baptist Church. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law David and Nancy Early of Dublin; two grandchildren, Michael C. Early of Salem and Donna Tabor and husband, Denny Tabor of Newbern, two special great grandchildren, Rachel and Kendra Tabor of Newbern; sister Margaret Skeens Overbay of Salem; two brothers, Dale Skeens and wife Billie Skeens of Dublin, Harry Skeens and wife, Mary Ann Skeens of Chester; sister-in-law Doris Wimmer of Norfolk; brother-in-law Jimmy Wimmer and wife, Grace Wimmer of Shawsville; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the Dublin Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. on August 5, 2010.1

Martin, son of Oscar Edward Martin and Mary Savannah Light.1 Annie M. Harrison was born on September 8, 1920 at Marion, Smyth Co., Virginia.2,1 She died on January 11, 2007 at Virginia at age 86.1,2 She CHESAPEAKE - Annie M. Martin, 86, of the 700 block of Denver Ave., passed away Jan. 11, 2007. A native of Marion, Va., she was the daughter of the late Daryl and Cora Lee Harrison. She is survived by her husband, Arnold A. Martin; four daughters, Elizabeth Akers and her husband Jack, Mary Lee Preas and her husband Ernest, Anna M. Mollette and her husband Ronald, all of Chesapeake and Eva Mae Repass and her husband Anthony of Suffolk; a sister, Frankie Brown and her husband Howard of Roanoke, Va; and two brothers, Emmitt Harrison of Marion, Va., and Ervin Harrison of Christiansburg, Va. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. on January 13, 2007.1
