Mrs. Hess was a homemaker, a 60-year resident of Stephenson, and was a devoted animal lover to the end, with a host of feline friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tencil Hess, and two sons, Tencil Junior Hess and Thomas England Hess. She leaves three loving daughters, Clarissie Hess of Stephenson, Connie Rose and her husband, Richard of Beckley, and Carolyn Garten and her husband, Ronnie of Lanark; two adoring grandsons, Nicholas and Jared Rose of Beckley, also loving nieces and nephew, Rita Myers, Martain E. Hess, Melissa O’Neal, Debbie Cecil, and Phyllis Green, and a dear devoted friend and neighbor, Audrey Marcum of Stephenson. Graveside services and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. on May 30, 2005.5

Rushie Maud Sites On Tuesday, March 5 th , 2019, Rushie S. Moore went to be home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born May 10, 1934, and raised in Blacksburg Virginia, she met Tom Moore while he attended Virginia Tech and they married in September 1958. She was dedicated to God and loved her family immensely. She was an administrative assistant for Fox Hill Road Baptist Church and later joined Grafton Baptist Church. She served as a dedicated member and volunteer for 45 years. She enjoyed family vacations, cooking, hosting parties, and taught cake decorating classes. She was an award winning AVON representative in York County for over 25 years and was a friend to all. She was a dedicated and wonderful caregiver for her husband when he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. In recent days she enjoyed collecting, crocheting, Bingo, outings, and the special event parties held at her assisted living facility, The Crossing on the Peninsula. She was preceded in death by her husband C. Thomas Moore, Jr., her parents Carlisle and Myrtle Sites, her brothers, Leslie Edward Sites, and Kyle Creed Sites. She is survived by her brother Hubert Ezekiel Sites, son C. T. Moore, III (Denise), daughter Brenda M. Begley (Brian), granddaughters Elysse Morris (Leonard), Collyn Moore, and Brandi O’Berry (J.J.), and five great-grandchildren (Haley, Skylar, Dakota, Charlotte O’Berry, and Karina Morris), and many nieces and nephews. We thank the wonderful staff at The Crossings on the Peninsula for their care and efforts while she resided there the last two years and her friends there. A special thank you goes to her care giving companion, Laura Hargrave. Cadd Thomas "Tom" Moore Jr. was buried at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Virginia.3 His Social Security Number was 223-44-4319.9 He Cadd Thomas "Tom" Moore Jr., 68, of Yorktown, Va., passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. The son of the late Cadd T. Moore Sr. and the late Elizabeth Mapp Moore, Mr. Moore was born Nov. 18, 1935, in Norfolk, Va., and grew up in Suffolk, Va. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg and graduated in 1958. He was employed as an engineer for NASA Langley Research Center from 1961 to 1995. He was an active member of Fox Hill Road Baptist Church in Hampton, prior to moving to Yorktown and joining Grafton Baptist Church. He enjoyed skiing, woodworking, baseball and many other activities. He assisted with coaching York County Little League Baseball for many years after his children were grown and in college. Survivor's include his wife of 45 years, Rushie Sites Moore; one son, Cadd T. "CT" Moore III and his wife, Denise, of Yorktown; one daughter, Brenda M. Begley and her husband, Brian, of Highland, Mich; three granddaughters, Elysse, Collyn and Brandi; a brother, James E. Moore of Fountain Inn, S.C; and many nieces and nephews. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton.3 He was born on November 18, 1935 at Norfolk, Virginia.3,5,6,9,8 He married Rushie Maud Sites, daughter of Carlile Sites and Myrtle M. Hubert Ezekiel Sites Hubert Ezekiel Sites "Zeke", 88, of Pilot, passed away on Thursday September 24, 2020. Zeke was born on April 19, 1932 in Blacksburg, VA. He was preceded in death by parents Carlisle and Myrtle Sites, brothers Leslie and Creed Sites, and sister Rushie Moore. Served in the US Air Force for 4 years, meeting his 'fraulein' in Germany in 1952 whom he married in 1955. Graduated from 'VPI' in 1958. Worked for the US Dept. of Agriculture Census Division until retirement. He then settled down as a hobby farmer in Floyd Co. and was a devoted member of Huffville UMC. Zeke is survived by his wife of 65 years; Rosemarie, daughters; Virginia (Danny) Bowers, Janis Farmer, Tanya (Billy) Chaffin, and Barbie (Mike) Lineweaver, grandchildren; Jeremy Bowers, Nicky (Derek) Hartford, Brandy Souther, Jacki Jaques (Chip Reynolds), Jamie (Shannon) Souther, and Ashley (Nick) Comer, great grandchildren; Mr Emmett Comer, Daisy Hartford, Madelynn Rose and Evelynn Marie Souther, Austin, Kallie, and Hunter Winkle, sister-in-law Julia Sites. Special family friend Jim Souther. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice, Jim Souther, and Shannon Souther for all their help. He was born in Blacksburg, VA on December 9, 1939 to the late Carlile and Myrtle Dewease Sites. He was also preceded in death by his brother Leslie Sites. Creed was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. Creed owned and operated Sites Lawn and Garden. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Julia Sartin Sites; son, Kyle Creed Sites, Jr. and wife, Melanie; grandson, Tyler Edward Storm Sites (Stormy); granddaughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Mae Elliott; sister, Rushie Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Hubert and Rosemarie Sites; as well as several nieces and nephews. Killed were: Robert Lee Fagg, 31, of 351 Marshall Ave., SW. Roanoke. Injured, Gladys P. Ayers, 37, of Rt. 3. Bedford, in serious condition at Lewis-Gale Hospital with a fractured skull. Fagg was killed and the Ayers woman injured when the car Fagg was driving overturned five times after going out of control on Virginia 311, about four miles north of Salem. A Salem police car was giving chase to the Fagg car when it wrecked. State Trooper C. O. Rodenizer said he was unable to find a driver's license in the Fagg vehicle and other than that he was unable to explain why Fagg attempted to elude the Salem policeman. The policeman, Frank Pendleton, said today that he started after the Fagg car after it passed his police cruiser in what he considered a reckless and speeding manner on East Main Street (U.S. 460), opposite Conehurst Elementary School. Pendleton said Fagg drove at speeds up to 80 and 90 miles an hour on 460, north of Kessler's Mill Road and onto Virginia 311. Fagg was thrown 50 feet from his car when it wrecked. The accident was at 5 p.m. and Fagg died at 7:20 p.m. as a result of a fractured skull. Fagg's survivors include wife, Mrs. Rosalie Virginia two sons, Frankie Leon Fagg, Jessie David Fagg, both of Roanoke; a daughter, Judy Darlene Fagg, Roanoke; his father; William R. Fagg, Roanoke County; his mother, Mrs. Perma Fagg Dove, Richmond; five brothers, Mason H. Fagg, Salem; John N. Fagg, William P. Fagg, Frankie E. Fagg, and Lloyd H. Fagg, all of Richmond. on June 3, 1961.5
