Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd with the Rev. Elbert L. Naff and the Rev. Dan Walker officiating. Interment in the Radford Cemetery. Smith, of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. He was a brick mason for 45 years. He was with a partner, Harold H. Philpott, of Roanoke for 35 years working in Floyd and Roanoke and all surrounding counties doing some custom work. Joining Floyd Lodge 202 on September 10, 1953, held many offices in all branches of the order and has been secretary of Floyd Lodge for many years and still active. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Elbert Lee Naff officiating. Interment will follow in the Radford Cemetery with Graveside Service by Floyd Lodge I.O.O.F. #202. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Maberry Funeral Home.
