Janice was born on September 19, 1933, in Riner, VA, in the home that is now known as Brush Creek Buffalo Farm. She and her mother relocated to Harrisburg, PA, in the mid-forties where she attended Susquehanna Township Schools grading in 1952. She raised her family in Harrisburg and spent about 15 years in Florida before relocating to Harrisburg several years ago. Preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Bower Earles (Joe) Kelley; father, Marvin (Evelyn) Earles; infant brother, Rudolph Earles; step-brother, Billie Kelley; and great-grandson, Jeremiah Lindsey; ex-husband, Herbert Lindsey; and her loving companion in later years, Ray Sherman. Both men were from Harrisburg, PA. Survived by her daughters, Cathy (Patrick) Riordan, Jan (Jim) Politis, Becky (Bob) Christie and Nanette (Doug) Soliday; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her very special friend, Ward Jacobs, who treated her like a "queen" these last months. How to sum up 81 years of life? She was loving and kind. She had a sixth sense about her children and many life events. She would often call just when problems were happening in her children's lives. She collected angels in her later years and loved to read about the miracles often attributed to their intercession. The hospital staff that took care of her in her last days left her room with smiles on their faces and said how much they loved taking care of her. They told us she was just so "sweet" and always were glad to assist her. She will be missed terribly by her children and grandchildren. The funeral service commenced at 2 p.m. with Rev. Scott Wilks and Rev. Nancy Whitley officiating. Interment followed in St. Matthews Cemetery. on September 28, 2014.²

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois A. (Hartzell) Lindsey; daughters, Cathy Riordan (Pat), Jan Politis (Jim), Becky Christie (Bob Kline) and Nanette Soliday (Doug); his loving stepchildren, Tina Mujevic (Sam), Bill Whitman (Chris), Claud E. Witman (Michelle), Sondra Coble, Wendy Rosati and April Harley (Jaime Perez); his ex-wife, Janice D. Lindsey; sister, Michele Klinger (Ron); 40 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 3 aunts, 2 uncles and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel, Bethel, Joseph and Jeannette; his stepdaughter, Bonnie Moore, and his son-in-law, David Christie. He was part of the "uptown gang" of the late 1930's and 40's and a graduate of the Harrisburg Catholic High School (now Bishop McDevitt), class of 1950. He loved to drive and work on trucks, spending his working years doing just those things. He started camping in the early 60's with his family and never lost the love of it. In his retirement years, he so enjoyed "roughing it" on Poplar Island with Lois and quickly learned to be a "river rat." on February 9, 2014.³

     James Dale "Jim" Politis married Janice M. Lindsey, daughter of Herbert Henry Lindsey and Janice D. Earles.^3,1 James Dale "Jim" Politis was born on September 20, 1947.⁴ He died on October 10, 2023 at Virginia at age 76.² He James Dale "Jim" Politis, October 10, 2023. James Dale Politis (1947-2023) was a dedicated public servant, a loving husband, and a proud father and grandfather. Born in Chicago, he served in the United States Air Force before attending Olympia Community College in Washington. He started his career at CB Centers of America, but he also had a passion for farming and entrepreneurship. He and his wife Jan started J&F Distributing in Knoxville, TN, and later ran Brush Creek Buffalo Farm and Store in Riner, VA. Jim was also a member of the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors and a strong advocate for the legalization of industrial hemp. He passed away peacefully in 2023 and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. on October 13, 2023.²

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bradshaw, Jr. and a son, Aaron Bradshaw. Surviving are her children, John and Denise Bradshaw, III, Roanoke, Tim and Janee Bradshaw, Owensboro, Ky., Bill and Charita Bradshaw, New Jersey, Elizabeth Harras and fiancee, Sam Gibson, Conway, S.C; six grandchildren; half-brother, Sam Heath, Tenn. Graveside services to be at Fairview Cemetery. on July 15, 1999.²

     Aaron Andrew Bradshaw was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.² He was born on October 7, 1957 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 He died on September 27, 1959 at Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 1.²

     John Jacob Bradshaw III was buried at Fair View Cemetery, 3300 Melrose Ave. N.W., Roanoke, Virginia.³ He was born on January 16, 1953 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,4 He married Denise Laverne Ayers on May 31, 1974 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.² John Jacob Bradshaw III died on December 29, 2014 at Virginia at age 61.³ He John Jacob Bradshaw III, 61, of Roanoke, entered in to Heaven Monday, December 29, 2014. He loved his family, his dogs, old cars and collecting guns. He loved sports and he never met a stranger. He was employed with Advance Auto. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tresa Bradshaw; brother, Aaron Bradshaw. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Denise Bradshaw; son, John Bradshaw IV (Christy); daughter, Jennifer Bradshaw; granddaughters, Ella and Nevaeh; brothers, Tim Bradshaw (Janee) and William Bradshaw (Charita); sister, Elizabeth Gibson (Dean); and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, at Oakey's North Chapel, with Bishop Tommy Joe Williams officiating. The interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. on January 3, 2015.³
