Hulings died on July 11, 1914 at Highland Township, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 69.7,3,4 He Thomas Hulings, a well known citizen of Helen Furnace, Highland Township, passed to the realm beyond the bounds of time last Saturday, July 11, 1914, after a brief illness of about three weeks from serious bowel trouble, aged 69 years 5 months and 20 days. The deceased was the son of Chatham and Margaret Hulings and was born January 21, 1845, in Highland Township and has lived there on a farm all his life. He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Smathers. Some years after her demise he was married to Miss Ida Culmer who now survives him with the following children: A.B., of Frost, Pa; Orlan M., N.W., and D.C., all of Virginia; David, of Byromtown; John B. (he is a brother), Salem township, and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Smith, Scotch Hill. Mr. Hulings was a man who was highly respected by all who knew him. He was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. His funeral took place in the ME Church at Helen Furnace on Monday last, Rev. R.V. Gilber officiating and John and Clyde Culmer, brother-in-laws, David and Mark Hulings brothers, and Albert and Orlan Hulings, sons, acting as pall bearers. on July 16, 1914.7

Hulings, 84, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.A. Cubbison, on Riverside drive, at 3 a.m. Wednesday. He had been ill for the past week. Death was attributed to the infirmities of age. Mr. Hulings was born and raised at Scotch Hill, Clarion county and came to Oil City 28 yrs ago. He had made his home here ever since. His wife Margaret A. Dolby Hulings, died a year ago. He is survived by the following children: Robert Earl, John B., Mrs. C.A. Cubbison, Mrs. H. R. Moorehead, Mrs. Zenie Bickel and Mrs. E.J. Meddock, all of Oil City: Everett G. and Mrs. W. V. Hess of St. Louis Mich. Twenty-two grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive, together with one brother, David B. Hulings of Pigeon, Forest county. Funeral services will be conducted from Heckathorne church at 3 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. S. V. Carmany of the city officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on May 12, 1932.9

L. Sutton of Jackson street and Mrs. Francis T. Lillie of South Charlesion, died at 10 a.m. yesterday in a Charleston hospital after a short illness. He was visiting his son when he became ill. Mr. Sulton was a member of the Masonic lodge at Bluefield and the Shriners of Asheville. N.C. Also surviving are his wife Mrs. Cora Sutton of Washington; six other daughters, Mrs. L. W. Brown of Tennessee, Mrs. W. B. Caldwell of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. H. B. Slauson, Mrs. Don Slauson and Mrs. William Dexxxx, all of Washington, and Mrs. Elva Bohauman? of Maryland, and a brother, Harry Sutton of Pennsylvania. The body is at the Snodgrass mortuary in South Charleston and will be sent to Washington, D.C., for services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the residence. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill cemetery there. on March 22, 1942.3

Alt circa 1882.3,6,7 Marcus C. "Mark" Huling died on November 8, 1916 at Tylersburg, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 58.3 He Mark C. Huling, a well known citizen of Tylersburg, passed the way of all the earth, Wednesday, Nov. 8, 1916, at his home, being a victim of Bright's disease. Mr. Huling was born near Scotch Hill in Farmington township Oct. 31, 1858, and was a citizen of said township all his life, residing at his birth place and at Tylersburg practically all of his life. He was united in marriage with Miss Lottie Alt of Tylersburg. He is now survived his wife and the following children: Parma, Genevieve and Carl at home, and Mrs. W. A. Walters, of Leeper. One son, Maurice, died at the age of seven years. He is also survived by one sister Mrs. Jacob Smith of Scotch Hill, and two brothers, David of Byromtown and Benton of Alma, Michigan. The funeral was held from his late home, the services being conducted by the Rev. W. P. Sipe, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and interment was made in the Tylersburg cemetery. The bereaved have the sympathy of all. on November 23, 1916.3

     David J. Hulings A Byromtown, Forest County, resident for the last 40 years, David J. Hulings, 86, died Saturday night, Dec. 11, 1943, in the Kane Community Hospital, after an illness of ten days. Pneumonia was the cause of death. Born near Helen Furnace, April 6, 1857, he was the son of Chatham and Margaret Rutherford Hulings. On October 23, 1882, he was married to Alice Culmer, the service being performed by Squire Max Fletcher. A woodsman by trade, Mr. Hulings had followed that trade in and around his home neighborhood for many years He is survived by his widow, four sons, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. His sons are Warren, of Corry; Howard, of Warren; Charles of Barnes, and Cecil of Clarion. The funeral was held Tuesday at two o'clock in Kane, with Rev. Donald A. Irwin, of the Kane Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery, Warren.3 He was buried at Oakland Cemetery, 37 Mohawk Avenue, Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania.3,5 He was born on April 6, 1857 at Helen Furnace, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.3,5 He married Alice G.
