Otis was a member of Clearbrook Grace Brethren Church and retired from George Preas Enterprises after many years of service. Mr. Bradbury also served his country in the Philippines for the United States Navy, where he was awarded several metals. Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years, Madeline Elizabeth Bradbury; one brother, James Oliver Bradbury; two sisters, Evelyn Day and Nancy Applegate; his children, Otis L. Bradbury Jr. (Edith), Susan B. Elovich, Mark W. Bradbury (Susan), and Jimmy L. Bradbury (Karen); eight grandchildren, Julie Bittinger (James), Steven M. Elovich (Jessica), Timothy E. Bradbury (Jennie) Whitney Bradbury, Sarah Bradbury, Rebecca Bradbury, Elizabeth Bradbury, and Aaron Bradbury; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Ann Bradbury, Frances Donahue and Barbara Maxey. Special thanks to the Brambleton Hardees Senior Group and the Doctors and Nurses on the 2nd. Floor West wing of the Virginia Veterans Care Center. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Risinger-Stotler Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4019, Women of the Moose Chapter 1311, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post 60, all of Berkeley Springs. She was married to Otis Lee Strumb. Her first husband was Charles Walter Leannarda. Surviving are three sons, Daniel Wayne Brown of Blacksburg, David Hamilton Brown of Ellicott City, Md., and Dennis Andrew Brown of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Vicki Leigh Brown of Rockville, Md; a stepdaughter, Kathie Lee Edmiston of Churchton, Md; two sisters, Evelyn Day of De Funiak Springs, Fla., and Nancy Applegate of Verde, Fla; three brothers, Otis Bradbury and James Bradbury, both of Roanoke, and Robert Bradbury of Creal Springs, Ill; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers are deceased. A funeral will be at noon Saturday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, with Pastor David Duckworth officiating. Burial will be private in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Morgan County, 4100 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411. on July 15, 2004.2

Ethel Elizabeth Herron was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.1 She was born on April 30, 1926 at Wytheville, Wythe Co., Virginia.1 As of March 8, 1945,her married name was Bradbury.2 She married Lewis Hamilton Bradbury Sr., son of Roy Lewis Bradbury and Nancy Sue Ella Hunt, on March 8, 1945 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2 Ethel Elizabeth Herron and Lewis Hamilton Bradbury Sr. were divorced on December 12, 1966 at Roanoke, Virginia.3 Ethel Elizabeth Herron died on July 13, 2011 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 85.1,4 She On Wednesday, July 13, 2011, our most precious mother, Elizabeth Herron Bradbury (Ethel) Bandy Walton, 85, of Roanoke, was finally released from the agony of Alzheimer's and carried by angels to the throne of Jesus. Today she sings in Paradise. She was born in Wytheville, Va., on April 30, 1926, daughter of the late John W. and Bertha Jones-Peoples Herron. Mom was also preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis H. Bradbury Sr., James P. Bandy Sr., and Albert Walton; along with her brothers, James, Wesley, Stewart and Robert; and sisters, Mabel Clark, Julia Tilson and Helen Martin. Left behind to forever cherish her memory are her nine children, Lewis (Teri) Bradbury, Drema (Tommy) Altizer, Donna (Glenn) Shepherd, Michael (Lourdes) Bradbury, Robert Bradbury and fianc?e, Teresa Marsh, Sharon (Curtis) Smallwood, Clarence (Tina) Bradbury, Sherri (Boots) Bowling, and James (Veronica) Bandy; and her special granddaughter and caregiver, Margaret (Rob) Williams. Mama also left a legacy of 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition, her sisters, Ruth Wingfield and Mary (Billie) McMasters; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends, also survive. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Pastor Butch Hammed officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. on July 15, 2011.1
