     Her Social Security Number was 267-18-4375.3 Gaynell "Gaye" Causey was born on February 27, 1921.3 As of 1946,her married name was Tripp.1 She married Jack Delmar Tripp, son of Francis Henry "Frank" Tripp and Louise Mae "Lena" Craft, in 1946 at Dade Co., Florida.1,2 Gaynell "Gaye" Causey died on October 22, 2004 at South Miami, Dade Co., Florida, at age 83.3,2 She TRIPP, GAYNELL (GAYE), passed away October 22, 2004 at South Miami Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Tripp, she was the oldest daughter of William and Maude Causey. Gaynell touched many lives during her 83 years, almost all spent in South Dade County. A graduate of Ponce de Leon High School and attended business school in Waycross, GA, her career began in administration with the U.S. Navy during World War II at the Key West Naval Air Station, later to transfer to the newly completed Richmond Naval Blimp Base (now the Metro Zoo). After the destruction of the Blimp Base in the 1945 hurricane, the buildings and grounds became part of the University of Miami known as the South Campus. She continued to work in the same administrative building, later to move to Main Campus and finally to become Assistant Administrator of Physical Plant of the University of Miami Medical School. After 40 years with the University of Miami, she became a volunteer of South Miami Hospital. She loved her work with a passion. Gaynell had boundless energy and loved helping people. She was known as "the redhead at the desk on the surgical floor." She was a wonderful human being, loved by her family, friends, doctors and the staff at South Miami Hospital. Survived by sisters: Kostina Rives, Homestead, Ruth Alford (Neil), Marietta, GA., and Joy Parrish (Owen), Pinecrest, also nephews: Rodney Parrish (Melanie), Hank Parrish (Jeri) and Randy Parrish; nieces: Debbie Alford, Marilyn Fritz and Carolyn Jarrett, and grandnephews: Timothy, William and Zachary Parrish. She was dearly loved by all and will be sadly missed, especially by her most loyal and best friend, Barbara Erickson. A memorial service will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on November 13, 2004 at 1:00 PM. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the St. Louis Catholic Church. on October 29, 2004.2

     Teddy Edgar Oakes Teddy E. Oakes of Fort Collins passed away at home on October 14, 2009 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born March 10, 1939 in Fort Collins to Al & Esther (Harris) Oakes. He attended Fort Collins Schools until his senior year. He then attended Brown Military Academy in California where he graduated in 1957. He is survived by his wife, Eldonna; daughters, Dana Holcomb of Virginia, and Tedi Sue Blevins; grandsons, Nicholas and Levi of Lawrence, Kansas; cousins, Beverly Brown and Rayma Flowers of Montrose; stepdaughters, Kathryn (Ralph) Nielsen of Vancouver, Washington, Pamela (Nick) Troyan of Loveland, Chris (Mike) Wilson of Kansas City Kansas and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step father, Justus Wilkinson. When Ted's father built Oakes Motor Company (now the Armadillo) in Fort Collins, he discovered his love for all things mechanical which followed him through his life and career, especially Harleys. He helped found ABATE of Kansas. He was also involved in several Motorcycle clubs over the years. Ted is also survived by very special friends, Pat (Bob) Forbis of California, Norman Cook of Fort Collins and a host of others. Cremation has been completed and no services will be held per his wish. The Family suggests that donations be made to Pathways Hospice, 305 Carpenter Rd., Fort Collins, Colorado 80525.2 He was born on March 10, 1939 at Fort Collins, Larimer Co., Colorado.2 He married Eldonna Marie Wintersteen in 1988.2,3 Teddy Edgar Oakes died on October 14, 2009 at Fort Collins, Larimer Co., Colorado, at age 70.2

She left Kansas in the early 50's for the Fort Collins area, where she worked and made her home. In 1988 she reconnected with her sweetheart from the 60's and they had 19 cherished years together. She loved dancing and listening to her country music and polka. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Ralph) Nielsen, Pamela (Nick) Troyan; grandchildren, Heide, Brent and Joshua; great grandchildren, Alex and Jackson. Born, October 21, 1908, she was the daughter of the late William James Gay and Louise Anna Dean Gay. She was a former member of Oakland Baptist Church. She attended high school in Roanoke City. Hycie's hobby was crocheting. She made beautiful hats and bags and other accessories. Her love for dogs over the years included her two Dachshunds, her German Boxer and her Shar-pei. She loved stuffed animals especially her frogs. She had them all over her house, had frog bracelets, earrings, sweaters and so forth. She loved her many trips going deep-sea, fishing, with her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Earl Orange of Roanoke; seven brothers, James, Norman, Gordon Frank, George, Jack and Richard Gay; and two sisters, Elizabeth Collins and Anna May Lundy. She is survived by three sisters, Doris Oyler and Bette Jean Gay of Roanoke and Louise Sowers of Bradenton, Fla. Having no children of her own, she helped raise her younger siblings. She also kept her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews from time to time. She had a special fondness for her nephew, Stephen Scott and nieces, Valerie Scott and Donna Deaubler. The family wishes to thank Friendship Manor Healthcare for the 2½ years she was there under their care. Services will be at Oakey's North at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006, with Dr. Tom Cribb officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Oakey's North Chapel. on October 3, 2006.1
