Shay, Superintendent of the Union Rescue Mission, Jamestown; two daughters, Mrs. Ariel Vincent of Bemus Point, and Mrs. Beryl Schaftenaar of Falconer; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Lobdell and Mrs. Ruth Hilditch, both of Clarendon, PA. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton, NY. on June 12, 1967.⁶

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Shay; and a sister, Beryl Schaftenar. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Kurt Hallberg, Elder of the North Congregation Jehovah's Witnesses, will officiate. Burial will be in the Bemus Point Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the North Congregation Jehovah's Witnesses, 7 Rugby Place, Jamestown, N.Y., 14701.

A 1955 graduate of Jamestown High School, he was employed at Marlin Rockwell Corp. for 43 years, retiring in 1998. Jack was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses North Congregation. He also raised beef cattle and loved horses. Surviving are his wife, Doris M. Brown Vincent; two sons: Mark (Pixie) Vincent and Eric D. (Marla) Vincent, both of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Melanie (Brian) Klasing of Collegedale, Tenn; nine grandchildren: Kyle, Kayla, Jared, Ryan, Eric D. II, Alexander, and Andrea Vincent, all of Dayton, and Brett and Morgan Klasing, both of Collegedale; a stepson, Douglas (Deanna) Secor of Mancelona, Mich; six stepgrandchildren: Ryan (Karrie) Secor, Jadesa (Kevin) Nielsen, Wayne, Lindsey, Carrie, and Shae Secor, all of Mancelona; a step great-grandson, Kolton Nielsen of Mancelona; two brothers: David (Zorena) Vincent of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Michael Vincent of Olean; two sisters: Laurel (Fred) Higley of Bemus Point, and Darlene (Richard) Beilen of Sharpsburg; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Kelly Vincent. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Daniel Hamilton, elder of the North Congregation Jehovah's Witnesses, will officiate. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
