     Richard Lavern Ion Richard Lavern Ion, 79, of Adrian, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at ACMH Hospital. He was born April 30, 1941, at home in Manorville, to the late Leroy and Gladys (Krantz) Ion. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Richard started working as a truck driver then became a coal miner and retired after 25 years. Richard was a member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Dept. and the United Mine Workers. He liked to fish, hunt and ride his four wheeler with his dog, Coal, to accompany him. He was friendly with everyone he met. Offer him a cup of coffee and he will be your friend. Richard enjoyed the country life by riding his four wheeler through the woods and around the neighborhood. He was survived by his wife, Bonnie (Rickel) Ion, of Kittanning; daughter, Katherine McKain, of Adrian; daughter, Christine Soul, of Kittanning; daughter, Theresa Ion, of Kittanning; daughter, Jennifer Ion, of Sharpsburg; daughter, Sharon Ion, of Adrian; brother, Russell Clair (Linda) Ion, of Kittanning; brother, Eugene Ion, of Wheatland; brother, David (Kaye) Ion, of Hudson, Ohio; sister, Joan Lemmon, of Bradys Bend; sister, Mary (Charles) Judge, of Sherrett; sister, Linda Gaggini, of Mercer; sister, Jean Rupp, of Wyoming; sister, Sally Collar, of East Brady; 10 grandchildren: Virginia L. (Randy) Bargerstock, Linda M. Roberson, Kristen Ion; Natasha Martin, Tiffany Martin, Alexandra "Allie" McKain, Nick Cogswell, Jasmine Ion, Courtney Sines and Dylin Sines; 11 great-grandchildren: Desirae, AJ, Randall, Grace, Rylin, CJ, Paul, RJ, Kaleb, Mason and Louis; uncle, Delton Ion; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.      Joan Alice Ion was buried at Sherrett Cemetery, Sherrett, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She Joan Alice (Ion) Lemmon, 77, of East Brady, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at ACMH Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born April 6, 1943 in Sharon, PA to the late Leroy and Gladys (Kranz) Ion. She was a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks, she also worked at Prys and Bradyview Manor as an aide. Joan was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. She was a former Girl Scout leader, she loved mowing and her cats, crocheting baby afghans, the Steelers, Pirates, bingo, and playing cards with Judy. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Lemmon; grandson Cory Callihan and Makala Bailey; son Robert Lemmon and wife Holly; granddaughters Abagail and Brooklyn; brothers Eugene Ion, Russell (Linda) Ion, and David (Kaye) Ion; sisters Mary (Charles) Judge, Linda (Chuck) Gaggini, and Jean (Greg) Rupp. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob Lemmon; infant son; brother Richard; sisters Margaret and Sally and infant twins; father in law and mother in law Raymond and Tressie (Stillson) Lemmon; sister in law Josephine Ion; brother in law Mike Lemmon. Interment is in the Sherrett Cemetery.¹ Her married name was Lemmon.² She married Robert R. A daughter of the late Leroy and Gladys (Krantz) Ion, she was born May 31, 1953, in Kittanning. Sally had a green thumb and loved her flowers and cactus plants and watching birds. She enjoyed spending time with her niece, Cheryl Lemmon, and her best friend, Tracy Gingrich. Sally was a member of the American Legion 325 in Cowansville and Brush Valley Brethren Church in Adrian. Survivors include her daughter, Moe (David) Hicks, of East Brady; grandson, Mathew Collar (Cori); brothers, Clair (Linda) Ion, of Kittanning, Eugene Ion, of Sharon, and David (Kay) Ion, of Ohio; sisters, Joan A. Lemmon, of East Brady, Linda (Chuck) Gaggini, of Mercer; Mary (Gino) Judge, of Sherrett, and Jean (Greg) Rupp, of Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by a sister, Margret Simmer; brother, Richard Ion; and son, Michael.² Her married name was Collar.¹ She married Walter Collar.¹ Sally Ion was born on May 31, 1953 at Kittanning, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania.² She died on November 20, 2020 at Cowansville, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania, at age 67.²
