He was employed on the farm of Luther Larkins, Berryman's Lane, Reisterstown. Last evening he was found dead in the back of the tractor. Before moving to the Larkin's farm, he had resided in Westminster. Surviving are his wife, Margery Alvy Poff, and son, James Hubert Poff, and mother, Mrs. Jessie E. Turner, Finksburg; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Carroll, West Friendship; Mrs. Roby E. Thompson, Randallstown; Mrs. Eugene Frock, Westminster; two brothers, Clayton, Hampstead, and Carlton, Sykesville. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Berryman funeral chapel, Reisterstown. The Rev. James Mullholland, pastor of Presbyterian Church, Randallstown, will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Mt. Airy. on April 25, 1956.7 He died on April 25, 1956 at Reisterstown, Baltimore Co., Maryland, at age 24.7

She was a daughter of Posey and Pucket Poff, of Virginia and now making their home near Mt. Airy. She is survived by her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Marie Carroll, West Friendship; Mrs. Hazel Thompson, Ridgeville; Clayton Poff, U. S. Army; Carlton, Geneive and Hubert Poff, at home. Also surviving are her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Poff, Roanoke, Va. and her maternal grandfather, Samuel Era of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon, meeting at the late residence at 2 o'clock with further services at Calvary Methodist Church, Mt. Airy at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Daniels, assisted by Rev. Ralph Sharpe officiating. Interment in Pine Grove cemetery. C. M. Waltz funeral director. on December 13, 1943.6

Born April 13, 1922 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Leon Mathena and Nannie Lou Rye Mathena. Mrs. Stewart was a retired inspector at Maidenform in Princeton. She was a member of the Princeton First Church of the Nazarene and attended the Fairview Christian Community Church in Princeton. She was a lifelong resident of Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield W. Stewart in 2000; and two brothers, Earl Mathena and Ray Mathena. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Patricia Bresnock and her husband Cyrus of Marriottsville, Md. and Carol Roark and her husband Charles of Athens; six step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and her friend and caregiver, Cecilia Sampson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Larry Dyer and Ronnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
