Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Mae Highfill of Champaign; a son, John with the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Mima Hilligoss and Mrs. Grace Ramsey, both of Danville. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
