She married William Ray Laudig Sr on February 14, 1960. In the early years Betty was a homemaker raising her family of three, Bonnie, Linda, and Billy Ray. Betty worked as a bus driver for over 40 years for the Hudson and Red Hook School districts and most recently a driver for CoArc in Columbia County. She retired from CoArc in 2017. Betty was a volunteer and auxiliary fireman back in the 1970s in Stottville, NY. One of Betty’s favorite events was her annual Mother’s Day trip to Connecticut with her daughters. They would spend the day at Norwich Inn and Spa, followed by an evening of food, drink, gaming and fun at Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino. She is survived by her three children Bonnie Laudig of Waterford, CT, Linda Laudig of Chatham, NY, William Ray Laudig of Greenport, NY, granddaughter Allison Laudig, brother Joseph Garvansites, and life time companion John Burke. She was a devoted animal lover with a dog always by her side. But it was her children and grandchildren to whom she dedicated her life attending every basketball and little league game along with every dance recital to taking pleasure in caring for her grandchildren. Evelyn was pre deceased by her husband George and her granddaughters Rhoda and Shannon. She is survived by her 9 children, Michael (Joanne) Hanover N.H., Bruce of Mexia TX, Jon of Leeds NY, Russell (Susan) of North Claverack NY, Stephen, James Scott and Anne Camadine of Cairo NY, Mary Rain of Ogdensburg NY, Elizabeth of Hudson NY, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery. on August 25, 2016.2
