She obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse degree in 1966 from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton. She then moved to Walla Walla and worked as a nurse. On Nov. 7, 1968, she married Richard Dague. She then opened "The Attic" antique shop, which she operate for any years. She loved antiques and all crafts she also enjoyed breeding, raising, and training German shepherd dogs. She was a past member of the Walla Walla Kennel Club. Her most recent hobby was genealogy and she made books for all family members tracing the lineage back to the 1100's. She was very proud of this. Valerie is survived by her husband, Richard Dague, at home; children, Lorelie and Harvey Moothart of Milton-Freewater, Tony Dague and Carla Doenen of Lakewood, Wash., and Mike Dague of Spokane; grandchildren, Rachel Moothart, Trevor Moothart, Rian Dague and Jeremia Doenen; two great-grandchildren; seven nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruby Fowler; two brothers, John Dimmick and Robert Dimmick. Visitation and viewing will be Thursday, May 13, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home. At Valerie's request, there will be a graveside service only, Friday, May 14, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. on May 10, 2010.4

He leaves also twenty-nine living grandchildren, one grandson being in the army in France; nine great-grandchildren. The decedent removed to Payne county from Texas in 1909. on January 10, 1919.2

He leaves a wife and one son, Vercil Madison, who resides on a farm near Kennard. He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving in Co. A, Fifty-Seventh Indiana.
The funeral will occur from the home Sunday at 10 o'clock, Rev. Mitchell of Modoc, in charge. Interment at Knightstown. on July 12, 1918.3

The lodge had charge of the burial, which occurred here about 11 o'clock. on June 10, 1921.2

Surviving are the widower, Versit Wyatt; a daughter, Mrs. Paul E. (Frances) Smith, New Castle, two sons, Robert Wyatt, Muncie; Donald Wyatt, Shirley; 11 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Condo and Son, Wilkinson, The Rev. Marion McFarland will officiate. Burial will be in McCray Cemetery. on June 1, 1976.5

Paxson was buried at Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Henry Co., Indiana.2,3 She was born on June 2, 1869 at Indiana.4,5 As of April 24, 1909,her married name was Madison.5 She married Lewis Grandvill Conner Madison, son of John Madison and Elizabeth Caroline Sparks, on April 24, 1909 at Marion Co., Indiana.5,1 Ada T. Paxson died on August 11, 1939 at New Castle, Henry Co., Indiana, at age 70.3,1 She Well-Known Kennard Resident Dies - Funeral rites were held Sunday afternoon at the Glen Cove Chapel for Mrs. Ada Madison, 74, for many years a resident of Kennard who died at the Henry County Hospital Friday night. Survivors are three step-children: Mrs. Urban Snodgress of near Cadiz, Mrs. Virgil Wyatt of Kennard and Louis A. Madison of Indianapolis. Interment was made in Glen Cove cemetery on August 18, 1939.3
