Visitation will be held Monday evening, February 17, 2014 from 6 to 8PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Mrs. Wooley passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at a Fort Worth Hospice. She was born May 5, 1932, in Beckley, West Virginia the daughter of Harold Robert Bowling and Ethel Thelma (Hendricks) Bowling. Maxine married her husband, Billy Wooley, August 17, 1960 in Belton after moving here in 1958 from Beckley, West Virginia. She was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Lady's Auxiliary at the VFW. Maxine worked as a waitress then in the kitchen staff for the Belton Independent School District. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, and loved to fish, camp and garden her flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Wooley; one son, Billy Dean Wooley; one daughter, Terry Lynn Geiselbrecht; one brother and one sister. Survivors include her son, Johnny Austin and wife Becky of Fort Worth, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.2 She was born on May 2, 1932 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.3,2 As of August 17, 1960,her married name was Wooley.2 She married Billy Gene Wooley on August 17, 1960 at Killeen, Bell Co., Texas.2,4 Maxine Evelyn Bowling died on February 12, 2014 at Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas, at age 81.3,2

He and his wife Maxine were married on Aug. 20, 1960, in Killeen. He had lived in Bell County all of his life and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 166 in Belton. He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Dean Wooley. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and playing card games. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, on Monday, May 24, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. George Mandakunis officiating, assisted by Rev. Eric Sharrett. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. on May 23, 2010.2

Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Barbara) Brown of Wabash and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Mullen of Warren; two sons, Gerald (Gary) Keefer with U.S. Army and Donald Keefer, at home; five grandchildren, two brothers, Charles and Clifford Keefer of Three Rivers Mich. and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kramer, Huntington, and Mrs. Hazel Jackson of Three Rivers, Mich. A son, James Keefer, three brothers, Clarence, Elmer and John Keefer, and a sister Dorothy Keefer are dead. Mr. Keefer worked for International Harvester for 22 years as a hammerman. Friends may call after 7 p.m. in the Bailey Mortuary where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel with Rev. George L. Florence officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. on September 23, 1965.1
