Joyce resided in Belen for 30 years where she worked with the Presbyterian Hospital System, served as a literacy volunteer and ESL tutor and was a founding member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Multicultural Commission. She was an active member of the Baha’i Faith in which she served locally and internationally. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Chalmers. She is survived by her brother, Neil Boggs a resident of Belen; and her three married children, Karen and Tim Mings of Albuquerque, Robert and Natalia Chalmers of Columbia, MD and Valerie and Greg Heikes of Cary, North Carolina. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen. on February 19, 2013.⁴

Bob Chalmers was a member of the Belen Baha'i Community. Bob was a graduate of Stanford University, a Navy pilot, an engineer for Boeing, a missionary to Ecuador for his Faith, a small-business owner, but most of all a family man. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 53 years, Joyce Lee; and their three children; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside prayers will be said at Terrace Grove Cemetery. on February 8, 2011.³

     Jacqueline Sue Petry Jacqueline Sue Warner, 85, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at CAMC General Division, Charleston. She was born at Chesapeake, WV to the late Lawrence and Monna Bosher Petry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Youell Warner; daughter, Wendy Warner Harrison; son, Brian Warner and grandson, Marcus Warner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are her daughter, Penny Scott (Craig); sons, Mark Warner (Lottie) and Kevin Warner; brothers, Roland “Skip” Petry (Connie) and D. L. Petry; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Cunningham Memorial Park, Upper Mausoleum Chapel, St. Albans. Warner, 71, of Chesapeake, died May 11, 2004, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. Youell was born Sept. 30, 1932, a son of the late James Henry and Virginia Carnes Warner. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Sue Warner Harrison; and his brother, James Warner II. He was a retired agent with Commonwealth Insurance Co., which later became Peoples Life Insurance Co. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in France as a medic during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Jackie Sue Warner; his children, Mark Warner of Cabin Creek, Kevin Warner and Penny Warner Scott, both of St. Albans, Brian Warner of Chesapeake; his brother, Merle Warner of Gainesville, Fla; mother-in-law, Monna Petry of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV. on May 13, 2004.⁵

He was born at Charleston. He was preceded in death by his father, Youell Gordon Warner and sister, Wendy Warner Harrison. Brian was an employee of Leslie Equipment Company, Cross Lanes. He was a graduate of St. Albans High School and a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his mother, Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Warner; sister, Penny Scott (Craig), Mark Warner (Lottie) and Kevin Warner all of St. Albans; Best friend and brother, David Matthews of Dunbar. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.³ He was born on April 1, 1974 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^5,3 He died on July 1, 2019 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 45.³
