She is survived by her daughter, Allison Noe and husband, Jerry; and sons, Howard Lucas Jr., Warren Lucas and wife, Christianna, Michael Lucas and wife, Sandra, Charles Lucas, James Lucas and wife, Andrea, and David Lucas and wife, Gail. She will also be missed by her seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, at St. Andrews Cemetery with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph P. Lehman officiating. A Memorial Mass will be offered 12:10 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church followed by a Gathering of Family and Friends in the church reception hall. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131. on July 17, 2010.1

     John Wesley Morrison III John Wesley Morrison, III, age 94, of Tazewell, VA passed from this life on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Tazewell, VA. Born September 14, 1920 at Teays, WV, he was the oldest of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Morrison, Jr. and Anna Bandy Morrison; sisters, Virginia Bennett, Sarah Dye, Jane Brightwell, and Jewell Dingess; brothers, William Anderson (Bill) Morrison and Phillip Wayne Morrison; first wife, Chris (O’Day) Morrison; second wife, Frances (Lowder) Morrison. Mr. Morrison served with pride in the US Army, WWII, 1st Calvary Div., in a variety of capacities from combat to administrative work to intelligence officer. He served in the US, Australia, New Guinea, Guam and the Philippines, compiling a list of service medals along the way. After the war, he was Chief of the Finance Div. of the Displaced Persons Commission in Europe, which settled 345,000 concentration camp prisoners and refugees from Austria and Germany in the US, Canada and New Zealand. He then worked in London, England with contracts and inspections for the Mutual Defense Assistance Program, which armed NATO countries in the 1950s. He became a general contract engineer in heating, cooling, structural, computer systems and facilities, (among other engineering disciplines) working primarily for Federal agencies such as NASA, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Strategic Defense Initiative (STAR WARS) along with numerous corporate clients, based in Washington DC, yet working in several states and some foreign countries. In his later years, John entertained his family and friends with stories of his adventures all around the world with wit and a twinkle in his eye. John’s experiences throughout his life were the stuff movies are made of. He will be remembered for his patriotism, sense of humor and kind spirit. He is survived by his brother, Richard (Jack) Morrison; sister, Mary Sutherland; a host of nephews and nieces, and dear friends and care givers, Denise Mabe and her son Steven Mabe. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday, April 10, 2015 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Jim Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery Rt. 123W Bluefield, WV.2 He was buried at Monte Vista Park Cemetery, Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2 He was born on September 14, 1920 at Teays, Putnam Co., West Virginia.2 He married Frances Louise Lowder, daughter of George Robert "Bob" Lowder and Virginia Catherine Hearn, on May 14, 1955 at St. Albans, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,2 John Wesley Morrison III died on April 6, 2015 at Tazewell, Tazewell Co., Virginia, at age 94.2
