     Christopher Brian Owsley was born on April 15, 1973.¹ He died on April 10, 2007 at Ashford, Putnam Co., West Virginia, at age 33.¹ He Christopher Brian Owsley, 33, of Ashford passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at his home in Putnam County. He was born April 15, 1973, and was the son of Rebecca Baldwin Smiley of Ashford and John Wayne Owsley and his wife, Dolly, of Nitro. Also surviving are a brother, David Lee Taylor; sister-in-law, Tracey; nephew, Alex; and niece, Amanda, all of Kanawha County; brother, Travis Owsley of Putnam County; his fiancée, Onda Womack of Putnam County; close relatives, Lucille Baldwin of Nellis and many cousins and friends of Boone County, Red, Betty, Robert and Angie Blaylock of Ridgeview, Tony and Kathy Sykes of Peytona and Jack and Joey Belcher of Ashford. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. David Morris of The Elizabeth Antioch Baptist Church, Wirt County, officiating, who also baptized Christopher in the Summer of 2004.      Cora Alice Underwood was buried at Sunset View Memorial Gardens, 2677 Fravel Road, Woodstock, Shenandoah Co., Virginia.^2,3 She was born on August 23, 1941 at Lillybrook, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.² As of February 20, 1963,her married name was Slack.³ She married Henry "Randy" Slack on February 20, 1963.^2,3 Cora Alice Underwood died on June 26, 2019 at Winchester, Virginia, at age 77.² She Cora Alice "Cookie" Slack, 77, of Edinburg, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Winchester Medical Center. Cora was born August 23, 1941 in Lillybrook, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Underwood and Eva Rae Poff Underwood. She was a graduate of Stoco High School, Coal City, West Virginia. Cora retired as an administration professional with Verizon and was a member of Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Underwood. Cookie is survived by her loving husband, Randy Slack of Edinburg; a daughter, Sheri and husband Bill McMahon grandchildren, Wesley McMahon and Amanda Lombardi (Kahl), and great grandchildren, Jake and Ellie; a son, Jim and wife Bernadette Slack, and grandsons, Joshua and Caleb; also survived by a sister, Peggy Craig and husband Ronny of Poughkeepsie, NY; a brother, Bill Lee Underwood and wife Helen of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; a sister-in-law, Mary Underwood of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. when the service will be held at Valley Baptist Church by Pastor Chad Estep. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens. on June 28, 2019.²

     William Lee "Bill" Underwood William L. "Bill" Underwood, 88, of Point Pleasant, departed this life to be with Jesus and his son, Alan, in the early morning of August 20, 2019, at his home. He was retired from Century Aluminum, in Ravenswood and was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. Bill was also an official basketball referee, where he would run up and down the courts, well past 80 years old. He was also a faithful member of the First Church of God. Bill was born July 20, 1931, in Boomer, WV, a son to the late Robert and Eva (Poff) Underwood. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Alan L. Underwood, in 2015. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen (Maxey) Underwood; grandson, Garrett Underwood and granddaughter, Kelly Wood; his great-grandchildren; his sister and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Ronald Craig and Randy Slack. There will be a memorial service at 12:00 pm, Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Private Burial will take place at the VA Cemetery, in Dunbar.³ He was buried at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^3,4 He was born on July 20, 1931 at Boomer, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^5,3 He married Helen Virginia Maxey on March 1, 1952 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^5,3 William Lee "Bill" Underwood died on August 20, 2019 at Point Pleasant, Mason Co., West Virginia, at age 88.³
