     John Dee "Jay" Bieren was buried at Moscow Cemetery, 1650 Troy Highway, Moscow, Latah Co., Idaho.^3,4 He was born on October 14, 1945 at Moscow, Latah Co., Idaho.^1,2,4 He married Janice D. Calene, daughter of Willis Dale Calene and Leota Claire Smith, on September 6, 1969 at Troy, Latah Co., Idaho.^1,2 John Dee "Jay" Bieren died on October 18, 2015 at Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington, at age 70.^2,4 He John D. Bieren, better known to his friends and family as Jay, a lifelong Moscow resident, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. He had just turned 70. Jay was born Oct. 14, 1945, in Moscow, to Leo H. and Eleanor Broemeling Bieren. He grew up and attended St. Mary's Catholic School, where he also served as an altar boy, and graduated from Moscow High School in 1963. Jay went to work at Sanitary Meat Cutters in Moscow, where he learned the meat-cutting trade. He then went to work in the meat department at Rosauers and at a young age became the meat manager of the Pullman Rosauers store. He remained in that position until November 1970. In 1970, he and his brother, Keith, purchased Trammel Beer and Wine Distributorship, renaming it Bieren Distributors. They owned and operated it until December 1995, selling the business to Odom Corp. of Seattle. Jay later went to work at the Moscow Post Office until 2007, retiring on his 62nd birthday. Jay served in the Idaho National Guard for 12 years, and was a member of the Junior Jaycees and the Knights of Columbus. In his later years, he enjoyed working around the house, in his yard and boating, but nothing came before his dedication to his family. He and his family had just returned from a trip to Disneyland a few days before his death. He and Janice Calene were married Sept. 6, 1969, in Troy. She survives at their Moscow home. Also surviving are his children, Jacque and Tom Gerdes of Junction City, Ore., Lisa and Erik Geidl of Moscow, and Chad and Sarah Bieren of Bellevue, Wash. He also leaves his grandchildren, Zach, Mikayla, Brandon and Estifanos Gerdes, Brendan and Madison Geidl, and John and Michael Bieren; along with a brother, Keith (Marlene) Bieren of Lewiston. Jay was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jerry in 2006 and Dean in 2014; and his sister-in-law, Jan, in the same year. A private service will be held and burial will be at the Moscow Cemetery. on October 19, 2015.²

     Carol Lynn Young was buried at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.³ Her Social Security Number was 236-70-3815.⁴ She was born on July 6, 1944 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2 As of September 22, 1962,her married name was Boggs.¹ She married Michael Jay Boggs, son of Warren Gibbs Boggs and Rachel Elander Shearer, on September 22, 1962 at Roane Co., West Virginia.¹ Carol Lynn Young and Michael Jay Boggs were divorced before September, 1966.⁵ Carol Lynn Young died on October 17, 1999 at Louisiana at age 55.^3,4

     Betty June Stephens was born on October 7, 1921 at Liberty Township, Tipton Co., Indiana.³ As of December, 1948,her married name was Cowgill.⁵ She married Orla Charles "Jerry" Cowgill in December, 1948 at Howard Co., Indiana.^6,5,7

     Orla Charles "Jerry" Cowgill O. Charles "Jerry" Cowgill died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 1978, shortly after being admitted to the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Hospital Emergency Room. Born in Kokomo on Sept. 24, 1909, he was the son of Frederick and Jeanette (McCartney) Cowgill. He was married in 1939 to Bernice Hobson, who died in 1948. He later married Betty Stephens, who survives. He was retired from the Kokomo Center Township Consolidated School Corp., where he had worked in the maintenance department, and currently was employed by Pinkerton Detective Agency. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Other survivors include four daughters, Sharon Fleissner and Clar Adele Coy, Noblesville, Barbara Porter, Bringhurst, and Betty Cowgill, at home; a half sister, Freida Wheeler, Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.⁴ He was buried at Sunset Memory Garden, Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana.^1,5 He was born on September 24, 1909 at Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana; His draft card has a birth date of Sep 23, 1909.^6,3,1 He married Betty June Stephens, daughter of Leo Stephens Sr. and Cecil Jewel Mills, in December, 1948 at Howard Co., Indiana.^1,2,4 Orla Charles "Jerry" Cowgill died on June 1, 1978 at Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana, at age 68.^6,4,1

Adams St., Tipton, died Sunday at 5 a.m. in her home. She had been ill for several years. Born Oct. 24, 1898 at Nevada, she was the daughter of John and Rose Ann Spurlin Mills. She was married Jan. 30, 1920 in Tipton to Leo Stephens. A housewife, Mrs. Stephens attended school at Nevada. Surviving with the husband are a son, Junior L. Stephens, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Cowgill and Miss Marjorie H. Stephens, both of Kokomo; a granddaughter, three step-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson and eight step-great grandchildren. One daughter, one brother and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Mitchell Funeral Home. Rev. Chester Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery here. on April 23, 1973.³
