Born Aug. 16, 1926, at Minden, she was the daughter of the late Andy Sr. and Fannie Grandetti Vegh. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Edith loved to cook, play cards and spend time with her family. She devoted her life to caring for others and will always be remembered for the unconditional love she gave to everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bowling; two brothers, Johnny Vegh and Andy Bodnar; and two sisters, Elizabeth Crone and Margaret Vegh. Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Margaret Ann and Greg O'Neal, who made their home next door to Edith in Oak Hill; a grandson, Travis O'Neal of Morgantown; her granddog number one; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Saplak of Stuarts Draft, Va., and Lillian and Carl Phillips of Oak Hill. She had many nieces and nephews who loved her, including her "pajama party buddy," Edie Davis. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Charles B. Teufel and Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jeff O'Neal, Everette Harris, Johnny Davis, Mark Allen, Steven Grandetti and Paul Saplak. on February 1, 2006.2

She and her husband ran Bowling's Market for 25 years in Oak Hill. She devoted her life to raising her family and sharing her wisdom and understanding with all those around her. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Monday, September 27, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Rev. Delmas Wolfe and Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Interment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. on September 27, 2010.2

She was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Lady's Auxiliary at the VFW. Maxine worked as a waitress then in the kitchen staff for the Belton Independent School District. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, and loved to fish, camp and garden her flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Wooley; one son, Billy Dean Wooley; one daughter, Terry Lynn Geiselbrecht; one brother and one sister.
