Ronald Lee Reid1,2

M, b. April 15, 1946, d. July 29, 2017
Ronald Lee Reid Ronald Lee Reid, of Huntington, died July 29, 2017. He was born April 15, 1946, in Helen, W.Va., to Roy C. and Helen R. Reid. He grew up in Crab Orchard, W.Va., and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1964. He worked for Unisource Worldwide, Inc., and retired as operations manager. He married the love of his life, Linda Underwood, in Beckley on July 14, 1967. His mischievous sense of humor never quite camouflaged the generous and caring heart that drew a large circle of dedicated, longtime friends. He reveled in the outdoors, from mountains and woods to the beach, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. A loyal Marshall fan, he could be found most autumn Saturdays at the center of a group of laughing tailgaters at Joan C. Edwards stadium. He was absolutely devoted to his family, who have lost a guide, a steady source of advice, and a defender. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Richard Oderwald; a nephew, Benjamin Oderwald, and his wife, Christine Gibson; a niece, Elizabeth Oderwald Roettger, and her husband, David Roettger; great-nieces Eleanor and Celia Oderwald and Hazel Roettger; and a great-nephew, Desmond Oderwald. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerrit Kimmey and the oncology staff at HIMG.2 He was born on April 15, 1946 at Helen, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1,2 He married Linda Sue Underwood, daughter of William James "Jim" Underwood Jr. and Rosemary Canterbury, on July 14, 1967 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1,3,2 Ronald Lee Reid died on July 29, 2017 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia, at age 71.2
