     Jean Mae Young was buried at Lee Memorial Gardens, 1986 Hickory Circle Road, Pennington Gap, Lee Co., Virginia.³ She was born on February 10, 1924 at Kentucky.^1,4 As of October 10, 1945,her married name was Hines.¹ She married Charles Richard Hines, son of Milford Bard Hines and Hester Lee Newman, on October 10, 1945 at Harlan, Harlan Co., Kentucky.¹ Jean Mae Young and an unknown person were divorced on April 28, 1990 at Lee Co., Virginia.¹ She died on November 2, 2008 at Kingsport, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 84.^4,2 She Jean Mae Hines, 84, of Jonesville, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning (Nov. 2, 2008) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. A resident of Lee County for most of her life, she was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Mae Young; two brothers, Ted King and Charlie King; and one sister, Thelma (Teenie) Goodwin. Surviving are one son, Darrell Hines and wife, Jeanie of Jonesville, Va; three daughters, Wanda Hines, Carol Hines, Judy Earley and husband, Ron, all of three special Jonesville, Va; grandchildren, Ryan and Mason Hines and Brennan Earley, all of Jonesville, Va; one special niece, Fern Guenther and husband, Russell of New Paris, Ohio; several other nieces and nephews; A loving church family and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Jonesville, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Jonesville, Va., with Rev. Daris Horne, Rev. Glen Hurd and Rev. L.J. Ellis officiating. Entombment will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va . Pallbearers will be Russell Guenther, Randy Shuler, Steve Sexton, Charles Ingram, Denver Poteet, Korey Guenther and grandsons, Ryan Hines and Brennan Earley. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur (Dood) Poteet, Dan Gibson, and grandson, Mason Hines. on November 5, 2008.²

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara White, Patricia Hill, Kathy Cook and Hester Hines; three sons, Bobby, Donald and Kenneth Hines; sister, Ida Crenshaw; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at O.D. White Funeral Home, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. on June 23, 2004.⁴

She was born May 12, 1963, in Richmond, the daughter of James Barrett and Carolyn Crane Berry Rhonda lived most of her life in this community and was a home-maker. She attended Richmond High School and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband, Bobbie Hines, to whom she was married April 10, 2005; son, Chad A. Barrett of Richmond and Jennifer L. Wilson of Fountain City; daughter, Brittany N. Barrett of Richmond; stepson, Michael Hines of Richmond; stepdaughter, Melissa Ann Kaiser of Richmond; step-grandchildren, Kim and Samantha Kaiser of Richmond; step-great-grandchild, Megan of Richmond; brothers, Michael Barrett of Fountain City, Danny Barrett of Bradenton, Fla., Doug Barrett and wife Zebbie of Fountain City, Darrin Barrett of Richmond; sister, Virginia "Jenny" Clark of Bradenton, Fla; nieces and nephews, Gina Shinn and husband Tim, Amber Clark, Christopher Barrett, Jason Barrett, Kriscia Barrett, Adriana Barrett, Tiffany Barrett, Mikayla Barrett and Jesse Barrett; and two great-nephews, Ezekiah Clark and Joe Hatton. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral service for Rhonda S. Barrett-Hines will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W, Richmond. Entombment will be in the Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. on July 19, 2005.⁴
