No one realized, however, just how successful Morlan had been until after his death when his estate made several significant donations to area charities. One donation from Morlan's estate was celebrated recently at Shriner's Hospitals for Children -- Cincinnati, where a plaque was placed on the hospital's philanthropic wall recognizing an $800,000 donation to the pediatric health care system. His brother, Brazil resident Wayne Morlan, along with other family members visited the hospital to celebrate Morlan's gift. He started his own real estate development company after he moved to Bonita Springs, Fla. Shriners Hospitals for Children can provide this expert pediatric specialty care to children," Vice-Chairman of Cincinnati's hospital's board of governors and Zorah Shriners member Jerry Hardisty said. "Hubert's legacy will live on and help thousands of children each year." Shriners Hospitals for Children is an international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
