She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #563 in Englewood. Norma is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Vicki Breakiron of Brookville, and Melissa & Guy Russo of Amsterdam, NY, grandchildren: Traci L. (Todd) Gasho, Tanya L. Breakiron, Allison Russo and Timothy Robert Russo, great grandsons: Nicholas Todd Gasho & William Robert "Will" Gasho, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Robert "Dale" Hudnall in 2003, sons Gregory & Robert A. Hudnall, parents: W. Arthur & Irene R. (Obenauer) Miller and a brother: Robert D. Miller. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Concord United Methodist Church (1123 S. Main St., Englewood 45322) with Rev. Dr. Tom Rand officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception to be held at the Church following the service. Interment will be held privately at the Concord Church Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Concord United Methodist Church Chancel Guild, envelopes will be provided. on January 7, 2009.1

Dale Hudnall, of Englewood with whom he made his home; 2 sisters, Mrs. Murry (Vicki) Brakiron, of Lebanon, Pa., and Melissa Jo Hudnall, at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Delphine Hudnall, of Englewood, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Irene Miller of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Churchill Memorial Home, 101 W. National Rd. at Walnut St., Englewood, with Rev. William E. Hensley officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Memorial Home Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on February 20, 1975.4

Born July 25, 1917, at Eskdale on Cabin Creek, Mary Ella was the fourth of five children of the late James and Maude Alexander Scott. She attended East Bank High School and Concord College where she graduated with a degree in elementary education. She married Jimmy in 1943. The first of their five children was born in 1944 at Nuttalburg, a coal-mining town at the bottom of the New River Gorge. After living at Laing and Winifrede in Kanawha County, they moved to Belle where they lived for 27 years. A beloved and respected teacher, Mary taught in Kanawha County schools for 30 years. For 27 years, she was at Belle Elementary where she taught the second, fourth, fifth and sixth grades. Mary firmly believed that there wasn't a child that couldn't learn. Retiring in 1977, she and Jimmy moved to Fayetteville, near his childhood home. After his death in 1983, Mary became a world traveler, visiting every continent except Africa and Antarctica. Always up for an adventure, she landed in a small plane on a glacier in New Zealand, rafted the New River on her 70th birthday and, at 79, cruised the Chesapeake Bay for a week on a small sailboat. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Lee and Joe; and her older sister, Margaret. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Mary Katherine and Michael Eltzroth of White Sulphur Springs; three sons and their wives, Scott and Sandi of Fayetteville, Robert and Dianne of Belle and Richard and Brandy of Jacksonville, Fla; four grandchildren, Clayton Allport, Emily Eltzroth, Jimmy Allport and Kenny Eltzroth; a sister, Agnes Wilson of Vesta, Va; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Carolyn Withrow, Dottie Light and Lois Thomas; and her pal, Bingo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville.

She had recently moved back to the Charleston area after having lived in Vesta, Va., for many years. Mrs. Wilson will be sorely missed by her children, Mary Margaret Sullivan and husband Mike Sullivan, daughter, Patricia, son, John, and wife Robin; Arnold Wilson, son, J.R. and wife Barbara Luvas Wilson, daughter, Jennifer Wilson Frisch, and son, Joe; 12 beloved grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Agnes grew up and spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother in Miami on Cabin Creek. She and her husband Jack moved to Vesta, Va., after his retirement, and enjoyed many years there. The family will have a private memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 26, at Moody Funeral Home, Stuart, Va. on February 21, 2011.3

He is survived by his wife, Agnes, and daughter, Pat of Vesta, Va; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mike Sullivan of Charleston; son and daughter-in-law, John and Robin Wilson of Burlington, N.C; son and daughter-in-law, J-R. and Barbara Wilson of South Charleston; daughter, Jennifer Frisch of Marietta, Ga; son, Joe Wilson of Wake Forest N.C; and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Roy Knowles of Stuart, Va; brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Barbara Knowles of Meadows of Dan, Va; and sister and brother-in-law, Albert and Kathleen Layman of Stuart. A private memorial service was held Monday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. on December 9, 2003.5
