Carl and Edna Mae (Addis) Wood; who preceded her in death in 1962 and 2003 respectively. She was a member of Hamilton United Methodist Church since 1955 and served on several committees as well as being the church secretary for many years. She was an accomplished baker, sewer, gardener and homemaker. She married Bob in November of 1946; he survives. Also surviving are two sons, John Wolfe of Fort Wayne and Jerry (Sue) Wolfe of Hamilton; daughter, Sue (Chuck) Kristek of Fort Wayne; grandson, Joshua A. Wolfe of Phoenix, Ariz; five step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Martha) Wood of Kimmell; sister, Ruth (Howard) Nedwed of Sun Valley, Calif; brother-in-law, Jack Study; and sister-in-law, Hilda Wood. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Wood; and a sister, Bess Study. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Feller Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo. Pastor Mike Harris officiating. Burial in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials to Campus Life or A Different Drummer Learning Center. on August 8, 2007.⁴

She had been ill since early April and was in a serious condition for the past few weeks. The daughter of Frank and Tavina Reeder, the deceased was born in Tipton County on March 14, 1862. She was first married to John Mitchell who died 11 years ago. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the United Brethren Church here. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Belle Davis, Elwood, Mrs. Jesse Buckles, Anderson, James Mitchell, Elwood, and Esther Mitchell, Elwood, and 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Mary White, living south of Elwood, also survives. The body was removed here from Anderson to a local under taking establishment. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Pilgrim Holiness Church with the Rev. Polly Couch Bowman of Hemlock in charge assisted by Rev. L. G. D. Wertz of the United Brethren Church of the city. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery. on July 12, 1940.²

Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of the mother Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Jesse Hayhurst, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness church, and burial will be made in the city cemetery. on June 26, 1930.⁴

Burial was in the Curtisville cemetery. The deceased was born on a farm southwest of Windfall now owned by a brother David Hill, on January 13, 1888 being one of several children born to Noah and Esther Hill and in 1910 was united in marriage to Miss Pearl Lawson of the Windfall community. Shortly after their, marriage they moved to Elwood where Mr. Hill had for many years been employed in the tin plate mills. About a year ago his health failed he suffering a nervous breakdown and it was necessary to place him in the hospital at Indianapolis for treatment. Both parents are deceased but he is survived by the widow and eleven children, Mrs. Paul Richardson, Irene, Eugene, Lowell, David, Wilma, Mary, Richard, Betty, Donald and Jacqueline all of Elwood. He is also survived by the brother David Hill of the Windfall community and two sisters Mrs. Vivian Lockridge of Kokomo and Mrs. Mary McGuire of Blackwell, Tex. on November 15, 1934.⁵
