Helen was being visited and comforted by family during these past few months and was 94 at the time of her passing. She was a sweet woman with a great sense of humor until her final days of life. Helen was the daughter of Frank and Helen Roemer and the youngest of five children, Elizabeth, Lillian, Mary and Steve. Helen was born in Britton and attended the University of Oklahoma with her true love and eventual husband, John Palmer Reed, who she met prior to college while attending business school together. Throughout their 38 years of marriage, she traveled the world as a military wife and was stationed twice in Asia (Korea and Thailand) and once in Europe (Germany). While she enjoyed the life as a military spouse, she and her husband eventually moved back to Norman, where she was able to rekindle her love for gardening, baking and hosting family in the home they built together. After 32 years of being apart, Helen now finally joins her husband, John, who passed much too early in life. Helen also was preceded in death by her two beloved sons, Geoff and Lance. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Elizabeth Bennett; and her three and only grandchildren, Doug, Andrew and Lucas. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Jack, Matthew, Elizabeth, Evelyn and Ryan; and immensely enjoyed each addition to the family. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Primrose Funeral Service. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Denver Cemetery, 108th Ave. SE in Norman, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Helen’s long and prosperous life. on October 20, 2013.¹ She died on October 20, 2013 at Norman, Cleveland Co., Oklahoma, at age 94; Her gravestone inexplicably has a death year of 2015.^2,1

Terry was the Vice President of Perma-Door for many years before owning his own business. Terry loved the outdoors, smoking "cheap" cigars, listening to Frank Sinatra, and golfing with friends. A devoted father of Brian (Jessy Griffith) Niesz, loving brother of Judy (Richard) Kapfer, dear cousin of Bill & Doug Hill, loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
