     Timothy H. Sirk Timothy H. Sirk, 48, of LaGrange, IN died Friday, October 7, 2011 at his home. Mr. Sirk moved from Hamilton, IN to LaGrange in 1995. He was a member of the LaGrange Church of God, IHSAA Coaches Association and Manchester College Alumni Association. Mr. Sirk spent twenty five years as a Social Studies teacher. He taught at Oak Hill High School, Hamilton High School and at Lakeland High School. Mr. Sirk coached basketball for twenty four years. He was a JV coach at Oak Hill High School and a Varsity coach at Hamilton and Lakeland High Schools. Among his many accomplishments as a coach, was winning three Sectional titles, (Hamilton High School in 1991 and at Lakeland High School in 2003 and 2008). He holds the record for the most games won as a Lakeland High School Varsity Coach with 203 wins. In addition, he had 11 consecutive winning seasons, 7 conference championships, 6 NECC Tournament championships and was named All Area Coach of the Year in 1991, 2009 and 2010. Mr. Sirk loved coaching, but his family and faith always came first. Mr. Sirk was born on July 27, 1963 in Muncie, IN to Robert "Joe" and Alys (Orrell) Sirk. They both survive in Angola, IN. On June 6, 1987, in LaFontaine, IN he married Elizabeth A. Mercer. Mrs. Sirk survives in LaGrange. Also surviving are a daughter, Chloe Sirk of LaGrange; a son, Jake Sirk of LaGrange; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Diane Sirk of Fishers, IN, a grandfather, John Robert Sirk of Marion, IN and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Dixie Mercer of LaFontaine, IN. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Evelyn Sirk.
