Mr. Howell had been ill for three months, suffering from a malignant ailment, and had been in serious condition for the past several days although he remained conscious until the end. The body was removed to the S. S. Edwards funeral home in Windfall and will be returned to the late home Tuesday morning where friends may call. Services will be held at the Mount Zion Wesleyan church at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning with Rev. Carroll Rouch, pastor, assisted by Rev. R. J. Otis of Peru and Rev. James Hickman of Hemlock, assisting. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery. Mr. Howell was born March 17, 1900, in Windfall, the son of Charles and Nettie (Benson) Howell. He married Dorothy Carlisle of near Hemlock and the couple are parents of four sons: Kenneth, age l4; Darell, age 12; Verlin, age 10; and Ronnie Lee, age 1. Also surviving are the parents and two sisters, Mrs. Walter McClish of Windfall and Mrs. Delbert Fennell, near Windfall. An aunt, Mrs. Kenneth Kennedy, resides in Pennsylvania. Mr. Howell was a hard working young man and was well known and respected throughout the Windfall community. His untimely death is mourned by many friends. on May 17, 1943.4

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown. on January 31, 1993.2

Service will be a 10 a.m. Saturday in Ellers Mortuary, with the Rev. Chester Mitchell officiating. Burila will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. on December 26, 1974.5

     Frank Russell Bragg was buried at Thrailkill Cemetery, Swayzee, Grant Co., Indiana.1,5 He was born on December 21, 1866 at Hamilton Co., Indiana.6 He married Rhoda Alice Stephens, daughter of Lewis Stephens and Nancy Ellen Crousore, on September 14, 1890 at Howard Co., Indiana.1,7 Frank Russell Bragg died on November 13, 1936 at Herbst, Grant Co., Indiana, at age 69.7,6 He Frank Bragg, 70 years of age, died at his home near Herbst Friday afternoon at 3:00 following an illness of over one year from paralysis. Funeral services were held at the Herbst Methodist church near Swayzee at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon with burial in the Herbst cemetery. Frank Bragg was born near the Hazel Dell church 70 years ago, being one of eight children born to Rev. George and Jennie (Russell) Bragg, pioneers of that community. His father, a civil war veteran who lost an arm in service, came to this county the year it was organized and worked on the first brick courthouse in Tipton. The mother of the deceased died in 1877 and the father remarried with Laura Rush of this county, who survives. Frank Bragg was united in marriage to Rhoda Stevens of this county and the widow and two daughters survive, Mrs. Mildred Yohn of Kokomo and Mrs. Minnie Gear of Marion. He is also survived by three sons, Lester and Kenneth of Marion The step-mother resides near Windfall. He is also survived by a half-brother, John Bragg of Swayzee, and five half-sisters, Mrs. Maude Fields and Mrs. Pearl Morrison of Windfall, Mrs. Olive Shaw of Elwood and Mrs. Ethel Smith and Mrs. Iva Snyder of Kokomo. Frank Bragg was reared on a farm in the Hazell Dell community and most of his life was spent in this county. Several years ago he removed to Grant county and had been residing near Herbst. The body will lie in state at the home until taken to the Methodist church in Herbst for services and friends may call at any time. William Bragg, a half-brother, died in the Hazel Dell community June 2, 1934. on November 14, 1936.7

The deceased is survived by the widow, Viola Alice; seven children, Mrs. Violet Berry, of Peru; Thomas, Robert, Wilbur, Theodore, Delbert and Patsy Lou, all at home; the mother, Mrs. Rhoda Bragg, of Herbst, Ind; two brothers, Kenneth, of Herbst; and Lester, of Marion; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gear, of Marion; and Mrs. Mildred Yohn, of Kokomo. Mr. Bragg was a member of the Marlon American Legion post. He came here two years ago from the Swayzee community, residing on the Jerry Ault farm. The body was removed to the John Thomas funeral home for preparation for burial. Final rites will be conducted at the Herbst Methodist church at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in the Phrailkill cemetery near Herbst. on October 4, 1939.3
