She was married to the late David Andrew Spangler, who preceded her in death just nine days earlier on March 16, 2010. Mrs. Spangler was formerly employed with the Augusta County Correctional Center. She owned Windy Hollow German Shepherds. She was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church and a past member of the Buffalo Trail Riders. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Balsley Bowen Sorrells of Covington; three children, Julie McCauley and husband Gary, Roy A. Woodson and wife Olivia and Terry E. Woodson, all of Goshen; six grandchildren, Gary Andrew Nicely, Tera Nicole Nicely, Ashley Dawn Woodson, Samantha Leighann Woodson, Anthony James Woodson, and Luke Chandler Woodson; a brother, Karl Balsley Bowen and wife Betty of Goshen; a sister, Donna Sorrells Swain and husband Brian of Covington; a niece, Jessica Lane Bowen of Goshen; three nephews Kevin Kent Bowen of Goshen, Charles Kent and Brian Eugene Swain of Covington. In addition to her father Everette Kent Bowen Sr and husband David Andrew Spangler, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Gene Sorrells and a brother Everette Kent Bowen Jr. on March 27, 2010.2

He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, serving on the USS Lexington. He enjoyed gardening and bowling. Mr. Savino was an avid West Virginia University football fan and also that of the Cincinnati Reds. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and attended Beckley College. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #32. Mr. Savino was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Annie Ford, Dolly Sampson, Joe, Chris, Charlie, and Dominick Savino. Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Nellie "Kitty" Clark Savino; a son, Paul Savino of Shady Spring. Two grandchildren, Dallas Savino and wife Kendra, and Ashleigh Savino-Hatfield and husband Chadd, all of South Point, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Kami, Gianna, Kase, Daelyn, and Annaleese, along with three bonus great grandchildren, Drake, Ryker, and Scarlett. Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 1 PM with Rev. Chadd Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. on July 22, 2018.4

He was involved in scouting for over 60 years. Mr. McCorkle became an Eagle Scout instructor, camp ranger for Minter Scout Reservation, district camp chairman, chapter adviser and vigil honor holder, member Order of the Arrow. He received the Founders Award O.A., Medal of Merit, Silver Beaver Award, District Award of Merit, God and Country Award, Scoutmaster Award for outstanding development of Eagle Scouts, Scouters Key Award, Scouters Training Award. Mr. McCorkle was a member and past president of the Beckley Civitan Club and candy box chairman and past sergeant at arms. He was a life member of B.P.O.E., Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 AF and AM, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, Mt. Hope Commandry, member and past chaplain of the Beckley Shrine Club. Mr. McCorkle was a member of the Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy assigned to the 3rd Marine Division during World War II. He received the purple heart and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" McCorkle in 1990 and a son, Bobby McCorkle in 1977. Survivors include a son, Dana H. McCorkle of Beckley. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with military graveside rites being conducted by the Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 AF and AM. on November 7, 1993.3

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Blevins, for whom she cared for nearly 49 years. Georgia truly gave of herself to others, putting others first, prior to her own needs. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Brookie A. Meadows and Gypsie Lee Ringley. Survivors; her brother, Oakie J. Conner, Jr. and his wife Alma of Pettrey; ten nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 26, 2008 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Paul Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton. on October 25, 2008.7

Born Dec. 12, 1926, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Preston Blevins and Emma Bailey Blevins Wall. Educated in Mercer County, he was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army and obtained the rank of sergeant. Robert was a former employee for the Majestic Steam Laundry of Princeton and was a disabled employee for the Virginian Railroad. Mr. Blevins was a member of the First Church of God, Mahood Avenue in Princeton, a life member of the DAV, also a member of the Commanders Club and was recognized as a Silver Leader and was a member of the AF & AM Masonic Lodge 134 of Princeton and a member of the AARP. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Blevins along with several half brothers and half sisters. Survivors: His loving, devoted and caring wife of more than 52 years, Georgia June Conner Blevins; a sister, Irene Ashley of Blacksburg, Va; and several nephews and nieces. On Monday, at 1 p.m., a service to celebrate the life of Robert E. Blevins will be held from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Revs. Gary Swogger and Scott Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton where military graveside rite will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be men of the First Church of God. on November 30, 2003.3

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Carolyn Ringley of Woodbine, Md., and Ronnie and Kimberly Ringley of Sykesville; daughter and her companion, Lisa Puller and Val Cosh of Sykesville; brother and sister-in-law, Oakie and Alma Connor of Athens; sister, Georgie Blevins of Princeton; and grandchildren, Ryan and Kelly Ringley, Danny Duvall, Emma and Braden Puller, and Walter and Andrew Ringley. She was predeceased by her sister, the late Brookie Meadows, and stepfather, the late Fred Rosenbaum. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville. Ringley, 79, of Sykesville, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown. Born Jan. 22, 1932, in Jonesville, Va., he was the son of the late Joseph and Grace M. Collin Ringley. He was the husband of Gipsie Lee Ringley, who died Aug. 12, 2007. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean conflict. He received two Bronze Star Medals and a Purple Heart during his service time. He was retired from Springfield Hospital Center in Sykesville, where he had been a police officer. He also had worked in plumbing for several years. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in the mountains, hunting and bluegrass music. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Carolyn Ringley, of Woodbine, and Ronnie and Veronica Ringley, of Sykesville; daughter and companion Lisa Puller and Val Cosh, of Sykesville; brother and sister-in-law Hubert and Violet Ringley, of Sykesville; and grandchildren Ryan and Kelly Ringley, Danny Duvall, Emma and Braden Puller, Patrick Jones, and Rebecca and Kyle Chasen. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thurdsay at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. on May 31, 2011.1
