Faye Ellen Woolwine Surrounded by family singing I Will Fly Away, Faye Ellen Woolwine Bullin departed for her home in Heaven on Sunday, August 14, 2022, to live eternity with Jesus. Amongst those who welcomed her Home were her husband, Herbert “Herb” Hoover Bullin, and their fur babies, Bunkie, Little Bit and Bubba. Faye was reunited with her parents, William Columbus Woolwine and Agnes Virginia Perdue Woolwine; paternal grandparents, William Harry Woolwine and Ruby Ronk Woolwine; maternal grandparents, Joseph Perdue and Allison Townsend Perdue; and many uncles and aunts. What a joyous reunion in Heaven! Born February 12, 1950, in Roanoke, VA, Faye is the second child, but the first daughter, and often spoke about having to help take care of the younger girls while her mother was at work. She is survived by her siblings Richard Wayne Woolwine (Julie), Atlanta, GA; Cyndee Orleck, Lincoln City, OR; Linda Sotos, Roanoke, VA; and Sharon Wilson, Roanoke, VA. After graduating from Patrick Henry High School in 1968, Faye attended Virginia Commonwealth University. She later earned a degree from Forsyth Technical Community College. Her most recent vocations included administrative assistant with the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce and a call center representative for GMAC Insurance. Faye retired in 2007 to become a full-time caretaker for her mom. After marrying on August 2, 1980, in Hillsboro, Oregon, Herb and Faye lived in Hillsboro before moving to King, North Carolina to be closer to his family. Although Herb and Faye did not have their own children, they loved their nieces and nephews, as if they were their own. Faye is survived by Jason Woolwine (Aimee), Seattle, WA; Andrew Woolwine (Lori), Atlanta, GA; Rachel Moyer (Marty) Myerstown, PA; Amy Dwier (Don), Salem, VA; Melissa Wilson, Myerstown, PA; Joseph Wilson, Roanoke, VA; Cecil Hall, Roanoke, VA; and Patrick White (Lyza), New Bern, NC. Great nephews and nieces, Kalen and Nicky Woolwine, Seattle, WA; Parker and Chloe White, New Bern, NC; Daniel and Benjamin Moyer, Myerstown, PA; and Grace, Lily and Noah Wilson, Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by a paternal aunt, Sylvia Dehart, Salem, VA; maternal aunt, Olive Eavey, Portsmouth, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Una and Norman Reid, Walnut, Cove, NC, and numerous cousins. Faye loved caring and spending time with her cat, Katie. She would say they were a package deal. Some of her favorite pastimes included visiting with family and friends, doing crafts, reading, and listening to gospel and bluegrass music. Herb and Faye were active members of the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. Recently found marked in Faye’s Bible was scripture from Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Out beside the passage, she wrote, “My set of wings is my faith in God.” Entombment will be at the Gardens of Memory.7 She was buried at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 5676 Old Walkertown Road, Walkertown, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.8,7 She was born on February 12, 1950 at Roanoke, Virginia.4,5,8,7 As of June 18, 1971,her married name was Gorman.5 She married Paul William Gorman on June 18, 1971 at York, York Co., South Carolina.5 Faye Ellen Woolwine and Paul William Gorman were divorced on May 28, 1975 at Roanoke, Virginia.5 As of August 2, 1980,her married name was Bullin.6 Faye Ellen Woolwine married Herbert Hoover Bullin on August 2, 1980 at Hillsboro, Washington Co., Oregon.2,6,7 Faye Ellen Woolwine died on August 14, 2022 at North Carolina at age 72.7

Virginia Walker Crockett Virginia Howell, 71, passed away at her home on Sunday evening, May 22, 2016 from the effects of colon cancer with daughters Megan and Kathleen at her side. Born January 17, 1945 to Samuel Robert and Mary Frances (Walker) Crockett of Salem, Va., the youngest of three children, Virginia graduated from Andrew Lewis High School in 1963 and from Madison College in 1967. She married Glenn Michael "Mike" Howell (7/11/1945 – 8/10/1996) in 1967. Virginia spent many years as a children's librarian at the Roy R. Estle Memorial Library in Dallas Center, Iowa, where she enjoyed running the story time and summer reading programs and enhancing the love of reading for children. Virginia was an active member of her church, be it Dutilh United Methodist in Cranberry Township, Pa. or her Baha'i group or United Methodist Church in Dallas Center, Iowa. Virginia had a true love and appreciation for poetry and literature, baking, cooking, quilting and knitting as well as playing the dulcimer. She spent many of her afternoons in the good company of the "Crafty Ladies" creating and laughing together. Virginia loved a good game and also enjoyed her time playing mahjong every week. She volunteered much of her time at the Planned Parenthood Book Sale, sometimes bringing home more books than she sorted. Her legacy will be the love she had for her family and friends, the regular Sunday family meals she hosted, her fried chicken, her love of a good dessert, her unique disposition (even during the most trying days of her illness) and her endearing habit of breaking out into robust recitation of verse or song without reservation. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike; and her sister-in-law, Nedra Crockett. She is survived by her three children, Michael Lawrence Howell, of Wartrace, Tenn., Megan Pauline (Chris) Cline of Minburn, Iowa and Mary Kathleen (Jeff) Warren of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Cade, Luke, and Cole Warren and Chase Cline; her brother, Robert (Richard Gourley) Crockett of Savannah, Ga; her sister, Mary Lou (Wendell) Ayers, of Yorktown, Va; her special friend, Gerry Klinkefus; and many nieces and nephews.3 She was buried at Fair View Cemetery, 3300 Melrose Ave. N.W., Roanoke, Virginia.5 She was born on January 17, 1945 at Forest, Bedford Co., Virginia.3,4,5,6 As of September 16, 1967,her married name was Howell.4 She married Glenn Michael Howell, son of William Raymond "Ray" Howell and Pauline Thomas "Polly" Perdue, on September 16, 1967 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,3,4 Virginia Walker Crockett died on May 22, 2016 at Virginia at age 71.3,5
