Mrs. Hale was a member of the former Trinity Baptist Church in Lorain, where she was the sunshine chairman of Ladies' Missionary Society. At the time of her death, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Lorain, where she was active in Senior Saints and the ladies missionary group AMOMA. A homemaker, she enjoyed baking cookies and planting flowers. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Bass of Amherst; five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and sisters Myrtle Copley of Abingdon, Va., and Lois Lucas of Huntington, W.Va. Preceding her in death were her husband, Clifton R; a son, William Robert Hale; her parents, William and Ida Romans; and eight siblings. Friends may call 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Tuesday at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave, Amherst. The Rev. Tom Corivja, pastor First Baptist Church, Lorain, and her friends, the Rev. Christopher Robinson and the Rev. Sherman Snider, will officiate. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. on August 3, 2003.2
