Smith were divorced before April 28, 1934.⁴ Wesley Wilbur Tincher died on December 10, 1963 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 59.^2,3 He Fayetteville - Final rites for Wesley Wilbur Tincher, 59, Route 1, Fayetteville, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Freewill Baptist Church at Route 1, Fayetteville, with Rev. Chalmers Skaggs in charge. Burial will be in the Bibb Cemetery. Tincher died Tuesday afternoon at his home following a heart attack. A retired employee of the Southern Coal Co., Brooklyn, he was born Jan. 25, 1904, at Route 1, Fayetteville. He was a son of Henry Ballard Tincher, Route 1, Fayetteville and the late Belle Williams Tincher. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Tincher; a son, Wesley W. Jr., Route 1, Fayetteville; four daughters, Mrs. Louis Prather, Charleston, Mrs. Lois Belle Thompson and Miss Joann Ellen Tincher, both of Route 1, Fayetteville and Mrs. Ressie Smith, Oak Hill; six brothers, Lee, Silas and Tom, all of Route 1, Fayetteville, Henry, Route 2, Beckley, Forest, Kilsyth, Herbert, Bangor, Mich; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Taylor, Route 1, Fayetteville, Mrs. Olive Woodson, Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Esther Bennett, Mount Hope and five grandchildren. The body will be taken from the Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill to the church one hour before the services. on December 12, 1963.³

Her death was attributed to acute mycarditis. Born in Franklin county, Virginia, she had made her home here for several years. She was a member of the Brethren church. Surviving are her husband, J. W. Smith, of Garten; two brothers, Henry Prather, of Long Branch, and T. A. Prather, of Garten; and the following children: Walter Smith, Charlie Smith, Arnold Smith, R. V. Smith, William G. Smith, Mrs. Bessie Marie Adkins, and Homer A Smith, all of Garten. Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant View Church Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mr. Martin, pastor of the Gatewood Brethren church will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. on June 2, 1940.⁴

V. of North Carolina, Homer of Lorain, Ohio, Arnold of Fayetteville and William of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Adkins of Peters, Va; and 34 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Brethren at Fayetteville, Route 1 with Rev. E. L. Clower and Rev. Walter Shank in charge. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. The body will remain at Dodd-Payne Funeral Home in Fayetteville and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. on July 18, 1967.⁴

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Georgia Smith of Detroit; one son, Berlin of the army in Washington, D.C; one step-daughter, Mrs. Edgar Turner of Dearborn, Mich; three stepsons, Russell Nickel of Mascot, Ralph of Florida and Riley, address unknown; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Atkins of Hopewell, Va; five brothers, Homer, R. V., William, Arnold and Walter. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery with Dodd-Payne mortuary in charge. on November 2, 1954.³
