Lopez of Axton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Roselawn Burial Park. The Rev. Ron Mateer officiated. Pallbearers were Brad Lopez, Craig Curtis, Tim Davis, Raymond Prillaman, Charles Curtis and Gene Riggs. Arrangements were by Roselawn Funeral Home. on January 14, 2004.¹

He was born April 10, 1929, in Stotesburg, W.Va., to Louis C. and Virginia Ann Craddock Lopez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Doris Lopez. After graduating from high school, he took management classes at Clemson and N.C. State University. He retired as a supervisor at Tultex with more than 32 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Martinsville and coached Little League baseball in Henry County for many years. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Marlene Lopez of the home; a son, Brad Lopez of Axton; a daughter, Marsha Lopez of Axton; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Mateer officiating. A private burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 146 E. Main St., Martinsville, 24112. on January 31, 2011.⁴
