Perry, a well known citizen of Sun, passed away November 6, at a local hosiptal, where he had been taken several days before for an operation for appendicitis which disclosed compilcations shattering almost all hope of his recovery, though a strong constitution sustained his life for several days. Mr. Perry was born in Beckwith, Fayette county, Dec 18, 1881. Had he lived until Dec. 18th, he would have attained the age of 43 years. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Lottie Perry and seven small children, one an infant born the day before his death; his father Rev. Chas. Perry, of Page, two brothers, Ernest Perry, of Salem, and Bruce, of Scarbro; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Houchins, of Beckley; Mrs. Prudence Spradlin, Princeton; Mrs. Myrtle Baughan, of Page; Mrs. Sarah Darlington, of Wriston; and Mrs. Luanna Hoover of Akron, Ohio... on November 21, 1924 at Fayette Co., West Virginia.4

She had been a resident of Beckley for the last 33 years and was a member of the First Christian Church, King’s Daughters, and various other church organizations. In addition to her husband, B. O. Houchins, she is survived by one son, Woodrow Houchins, of Alexandria, Va; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hayes, of Latya, S. C; two brothers, Bruce Perry, of DeLamd, Fla., and Ernest Perry, of New York; three sisters, Mrs. Lou Hoover of Akron, O., Mrs. Prude Spradlin, of Roamoke, Va., Mrs. Myrtle Bond, of Virgina, and three grandchildren. on September 19, 1950.4

Foster, a retired watchman for the Baltimore county sewer service, died yesterday morning at his home at 403 Lorraine avenue, Essex. He was 71. A native of West Virginia, Mr. Foster moved to Baltimore in 1938. Joining the Army in 1918, he was stationed at Fort Meade during World War I and was scheduled to be shipped overseas the day peace was declared. A former employee of the Crown Cork and Seal Company, Inc., Mr. Foster had worked for the county for thirteen years before his retirement in 1961. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife, the former Marie Farber, and a sister, Mrs. Dimple Boley, of Huntington, W.Va. on March 9, 1967.9

Survivors include two sons, Carlos, Scarbro, and Edgar, Charleston; one brother, Lloyd, Baltimore, Md; five sisters, Mrs. Dimple Boley and Mrs. Marie Belcher, both of Huntington, Mrs. Hattie Allison, St. Albans; Mrs. Effie Smith, Pineville, Ky. and Mrs. Faye Weimber, Tampa, Fla., and four grandchildren. on August 5, 1957.4 He died on August 5, 1957 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 58.6,4
