Ronnie Clifford "R.C." Pigg Ronnie C. “RC” Pigg, 77, of Rock, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at his home. RC was born on July 14, 1937 in Mercer County to the late Clifford and Loma Webb Pigg. RC lived on Browning Lambert Mountain most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed feeding his birds and deer. RC was employed by American shipyards in Lorraine, OH, Hawley Fuel in Landgraff, and Western Auto in Bluewell. He was the owner of Piggs Market in Bluewell and retired working in his salvage yard on Browning Lambert Mountain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Loma Pigg; a daughter, Melissa Pigg; a sister, Etta Hawks; and a sister, Kathleen Beckner. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 61 years: Joan “Susie” Jackson Pigg; two daughters: Cornelia Jones and husband Pedo of Rock, Teresa Davidson and husband Jimmy of Bluefield; granddaughter, Tracy Beggs and husband Jason of Rock; two grandsons, Shannon Jones of Bluefield, Scotty Jones and companion Christina Keen of Bluefield; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Beggs of Rock; five great-grandsons, Austin Pennington of Rock, Blake Testerman of Midway, Tristan, Braydon and Ricky Jones all of Baptist Valley, VA; special friend, Elvis Horn of Rock; sister, Juanita Jackson of Portsmouth, VA; brother, Sonny Pigg and Wife Mildred of Rock. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor David Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Pedo Jones, Jimmy Davidson, Elvis Horn, Jason Beggs, Shannon Jones, Scotty Jones, Larry Martin and Austin Pennington will serve as pallbearers.6 He was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.6 He was born on July 14, 1937 at Montcalm, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,5,6 He married Joan Alene Jackson on August 13, 1955 at Rock, Mercer Co., West Virginia.5,6 Ronnie Clifford "R.C." Mildred Juanita Pigg Mildred Juanita Jackson, 07.14.1939 - 05.20.2019. Juanita “Nan” Jackson, 79, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at her daughter Kimberly’s home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in West Virginia to the late Clifford and Loma Pigg. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Blaine Jackson, Sr. a brother RC Pigg, a sister Kathleen Beckner, a sister Eder Hawks, a son-in-law, William Brainard (JR) and a grandson Sean Brainard. Juanita enjoyed traveling, bowling, watching T.V, spending time with her family and friends, always making someone laugh. She was a member of the modern woodsmen in West Virginia and the Portsmouth Moose Chapter # 966. Juanita is survived by five children, Pamela Brainard, Sheila Rexroth and husband Mike, Penny Sousa and Rodelio “Buddy” Perea, Kim Francis and husband Gene and Blaine Jackson, Jr. and Doris “Dee” Biedermann. Ten grandchildren, William III, Larry, Raven, Sarah, April, Anthony, Ashlie, Amber, Blaine III and Christopher. Eight great-grandchildren, Alexandra, LeAnne, Jayden, Liam, Harlynn, Brynnley, Maycie, and Cooper. One brother, Sonny Pigg and a host of loving extended family and friends. Juanita will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Francis Thompson Pigg; three daughters, Mrs. Jaynette Price of Blacksburg, Va., and Mrs. Yvonne Amborn and Mrs. Mickey Bowman of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Johnny and David Pigg, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Cletus Hines of Rock and Mrs. Rufus Hall of Montcalm; four brothers, Edgar Pigg, of Bassett, Va., Clifford and W. F. Pigg of Rock and Lonnie Pigg, of Sandlick; three grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Montcalm Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Eddie Blankenship and Rev. Alex Day officiating. Burial will follow in Herndon Cemetery. Pallbearers Sunny Pigg, R. C. Pigg, Peyton Hines, Damon Pigg, Eddie Thompson, Hurl Pigg, and Arnold Pigg. The funeral be at 11 a.m. Friday at Craven-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Ralph French officiating and burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Virginia Lin "Jennie" East was buried at Coal City Cemetery, Coal City, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.3,6,7 She was born on October 12, 1890 at Patrick Co., Virginia; Her gravestone spells her middle name as "Lynn."3,6,7 As of December 1, 1920,her married name was Pigg.4 She married Elihu Levi Pigg, son of Thomas C. "Tom" Pigg and Susan Jane Yates, on December 1, 1920 at Bramwell, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,2,4 Virginia Lin "Jennie" East died on August 7, 1952 at Abney, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 61.3,6,7 She Mrs. Jennie Lin East Pigg, 61, died Thursday at her home in Abney. She was born October 12, 1890, in Virginia but spent most of her life in Raleigh County. She was a member of the Church of God at Coal City. Survivors include her father, Jeff East of Lashmeet; six sons, Talmadge and Willie of Princewick, Lacy of Stanaford, Cletis of Abney, Carl of Summerlee, and Vernie of Lillybrook; six daughters, Mrs. Billy Richmond of Blue Jay, Mrs. Roy O'Neal of Coal City, Mrs. Chetty Burgess of Summerlee, Mrs. Jerry Thorne of Logan, Mrs. Bessie Comeaux of New Orleans, La., and Miss Juanita Pigg, at home; four brothers, Clettis East of McComas, Jesse East of Pocohantas, Va., Gabe East of Tazewell, Va., Odie of Geato; four sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Brimm, Mrs. Annie Phillips, and Mrs. Edith Bowden, all of Lashmeet, and Mrs. Louise Gilbert of Bloomingrose, Tenn; 30 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Coal City Church of at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. C. R. Callahan, of Port Huron, Mich., officiating. Burial will be in the Coal City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Avery Farley, Kyle Peltry, Albert Phillips, Lewis Fry, Jeff Harding, and Henry Coleson. The body will be taken from Keyser Funeral Home to the home 3 p.m. Saturday. on August 8, 1952.6
