James Sisson, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Brenda and Norman Woods, Christiansburg; sisters, Beulah Akers, Evelyn Jones, Lillian Helm, all of Elliston, Ethel Jewell, Salem, and Ruth Flournoy, Roanoke; grandchildren, Michael and Robin Deweese, Joseph Sisson, Crystal Woods, David Sisson, Misty and Matt Osborne and Aaron Woods; and great-granddaughter, Aundrea Sisson. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Elliston Church of God with the Rev. Ronald King, the Rev. Virgil MC Hone, the Rev. Kenneth Gray, the Rev. Ellis D. Meredith, and the Rev. Frank H. Woods officiating. Interment will follow in East Hill Cemetery, Elliston. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shawsville Rescue Squad. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem. on July 1, 2000.1

He was born July 14, 1987. He graduated from Christiansburg High School in 2005. He has worked for Kroger for the past seven years. He was presently attending New River Community College. He was a very talented musician and singer. He loved playing guitar, singing country and blues songs, nature, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. He especially enjoyed doing things with his many friends. If life was measured in friends, Alex would be a most blessed millionaire. Richard and Deneise would like to thank all of his friends for the love and support that they gave Alex and have given his family. We love you guys! Alex is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Glenna Austin; his paternal grandfather, Don Altizer; and his uncles, Jim Altizer and John Richardson.He is survived by his parents, Deneise and Richard Altizer; paternal grandmother, Helen Naff Altizer; his maternal grandfather, William Versal Austin; aunts, Martha Altizer and Donna Richardson; cousins, Wesley (Lisa) Altizer, Amanda Altizer and fiancé Daniel Lovelace, and Anthomy Rhea; sister, Alecia (Shane) Vaught and family; special aunt and grandmother of the heart, Debbie and Anna Lee Lawrence; special grandparents also of the heart, Priss and Richard Johnson; and a multitude of great aunts, great uncles and second cousins; and the furry babies he rescued Goldie, LoLo, and Sam Henry. Richard and Deneise would also like to thank their family and many friends for their love and support. She was born on February 14, 1936, the daughter of the late William Ezra and Thelma Spangler Morris. In addition to her parents, Rena was also predeceased by her brothers, William Ezra Morris Jr. (Lou) and Robert J. Morris (Marion); her sister, Virginia Bonham (James); and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Lillian Cole. She retired from Verizon with nearly 30 years of service. Rena was a long time and faithful member of Hope Bible Church (Patterson Memorial Grace Brethren). She loved family, camping, the beach, sports, especially basketball and wood crafting. Surviving are her beloved husband of 64 years, Kenneth C. Cole Sr; son, Kenneth (Kenny) Cole Jr. and his wife, Drema; daughter, Penny C. Lucas and her husband, Matthew; three grandsons, Matthew A. Cole, Justin C. Lucas (Christen) and Tyler J. Lucas. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie A. Cole, Atlas R. Lucas and the soon expected baby Lucas; twin brother, Johnny P. Morris; sister-in-law, Shirley Reynolds (James); and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Ollie will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Don Eshelman and Pastor Danny Wright officiating. Interment to follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund, P.O.
