     Julian Ray Akers was buried at Lester Cemetery, Alum Ridge, Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,4 His Social Security Number was 229-58-2524.⁶ He was born on July 1, 1944 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,6,3 He married Dorothy Jean Wood, daughter of Luther Leonard Wood and Gladys Ellen Nolley, on July 12, 1965 at Lancaster, Lancaster Co., South Carolina.¹ Julian Ray Akers and Dorothy Jean Wood were divorced on November 6, 1969 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ Julian Ray Akers died on November 29, 2006 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 62.^5,6,2 He Julian Ray Akers, 62, of Floyd, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Etha Akers. Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Clyde Weeks, Chicago, Ill., Betty and Oscar Jones, Phyllis Butterworth, all of Floyd; nephews, Michael Weeks, Donnie Weeks, Steve Wood, Raymond Butterworth; nieces, Linda Weeks, Michelle Price. Interment will follow at the Lester Cemetery. on December 1, 2006.⁴

     Miryam Rose Guzman was buried at Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Rt. 221 east from Floyd, left on Bethlehem Church Road NE, left at next fork (Red Oak Grove Road north), on a hill across from Red Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, Floyd Co., Virginia.² She Guzman, Miryam Rose, born August 30, 2021 passed from this life Sunday morning, January 2nd, 2022 in the arms of her parents, Daniel Guzman and Rosemary Ann St. Jacques-Guzman. In addition to her parents, Miryam Rose is survived by her grandparents David and Maggie Guzman of Roanoke, Steven St. Jacques (Michelle Mowles) of Roanoke and Sonya St. Jacques (Lenard Tuck, Jr.) of Bon Air. Also surviving are her Great Grandparents, Cleatis R. Sisson Jr. and Sally Sisson of Floyd, her aunts Celina Guzman of Roanoke, Giselle Guzman of Alexandria, Teresa Bugg (Gary) of Pulaski and her uncles David Guzman Nafarrete (Allison) of La Crescenta, California and Cleatis R. Sisson III (Diana) of Salem, first cousins, Lelia and Munro Nafarrete of La Crescenta. She was preceded in death by her first cousin, Taiyo Nafarrete who is Munro’s Twin. Miryam was our gift from God. She brought us all together and she made us a family. Her earthly remains will rest at home on the Farm in Floyd with her pre-deceased Great Grand Mother, Mary Ann Douthat Sisson and her Uncle Lucien Ray Sisson. There will be a graveside service at Red Oak Grove Cemetery. The Family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the congregation of Second Presbyterian and the hosts of family and friends who have supported us through this tragedy.² She was born on August 30, 2021 at Virginia.² She died on January 2, 2022 at Virginia.²

     Carolyn Elaine Painter Elaine Link, age 41, of Christiansburg died, Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Roanoke, Va. on March 2, 1975 to the late Franklin Wade and Nancy Carolyn McArthur Painter. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, T. W. Link, Dakota and Kayla Link; daughter, Sierra Link; four grandchildren, Lakota, Avaya, Athena, and Miranda. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.³ She was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.³ She was born on March 2, 1975 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3 As of August 17, 1991,her married name was Link.¹ She married Timothy Emmanuel "Timmy" Link, son of Paul Stephen Link and Karen Renea Sheppard, on August 17, 1991 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ Carolyn Elaine Painter and Timothy Emmanuel "Timmy" Link were divorced on January 13, 2009 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁴ Carolyn Elaine Painter died on March 12, 2016 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 41.³
