     Jerry Venson Bowman was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.³ He was born on March 21, 1934 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,4 He died on May 14, 2013 at Virginia at age 79.^4,3 He Jerry V. Bowman, 79, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Barbour Howell; father, James Lewis Bowman; grandparents, Luther C. and Crettie F. Barbour; brother, Ben F. Bowman; special aunts and uncle; Rebecca Bowman, Pauline Bowman, Benjamin and Blanche Bowman; cousins, Carl Barbour Jr., Paul Lewis Barbour, Peggy Barbour, and Robbie Barbour. Jerry worked for many years as a nursing assistant at the Roanoke City Nursing Home. After he retired, he still gave his talents as a caregiver, taking care of his mother and other family members. He is survived by his sister-in-law, June Bowman; nephew, Larry Bowman; his cousins, Robert Barbour, William Barbour (Sharon), Shelby Barbour, Charlie Barbour, Chad Barbour (Charlene), Eddie Barbour, Donna Maloy, Tony Barbour (Elizabeth), Lisa Carr, David Barbour, Stacey Barbour, Tim Barbour, Michael Barbour; and special friends, Wanda and Alan Lambert. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, in the Sherwood Abbey of Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. Charles R. Doyle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. on May 17, 2013.³

     Katherine Louise Upton was buried at Fair View Cemetery, 3300 Melrose Ave. N.W., Roanoke, Virginia.⁵ She was born on December 23, 1916 at Covington, Alleghany Co., Virginia.^3,4 As of January 5, 1938,her married name was Barbour.³ She married Carl Vinson Barbour Sr., son of Luther Coleman Barbour and Lucretia June "Crettie" Furrow, on January 5, 1938 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,3 Katherine Louise Upton and Carl Vinson Barbour Sr. were divorced on July 7, 1969 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Katherine Louise Upton died on January 11, 1997 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 80.^6,5 She BARBOUR, Katherine Louise, 80, of Roanoke, died Saturday, January 11, 1997, in a local hospital. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl V. and Shelby Barbour, Roanoke, William D. and Sharon Barbour, Blue Ridge and Robert W. and Peggy Barbour, Roanoke; sisters, Mrs. Buddy (Norma) Utt, Boones Mill, Mrs. Lorraine Hartinger, Roanoke; three sisters-in-law; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 13, 1997, with the Rev. Way ne Harrison officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his grand parents, Luther and Crettie Barbour and Ira and Edith Upton; parents, Carl, Sr. and Katherine Barbour; and brother, Paul (Butch) Barbour. He was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. Surviving are his devoted wife, Shelby J. Barbour; son, Chad Barbour and his wife, Charlene; brothers, William and Robert (Red) Barbour; grandchildren, Calen, Micheal, and Chad, II; and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be held at Oakeys Roanoke Chapel on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at noon with the Rev. Frank Feather and the Rev. Michael Wilshire officiating. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery.      Robert Wayne "Red" Barbour Sr. was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.⁵ He was born on November 24, 1946 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,4 He married Peggy Ann Wilkerson on June 16, 1966 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,5,6 Robert Wayne "Red" Barbour Sr. died on March 4, 2022 at Virginia at age 75.⁵ He Robert "Red" Wayne Barbour, 75, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. He was a son of the late Carl Vinson Barbour and Catherine Louise Upton. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps. He was the Commander of Sons of Confederate Veterans Fincastle Rifles Camp #1326 for over 30 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Wilkerson Barbour and a son, Robert "Rob" Wayne Barbour Jr. Surviving him are his son Edward Coleman Barbour; a brother, William David "Bill" Barbour and his wife, Sharon; several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on March 9, 2022.⁵

William Furrow of New Castle, Ind., the Rev. Ray Furrow of Athens, the Rev. Paul Furrow of Anderson, Ind., Malcolm Furrow of Mt.
