She was the daughter of the late Lois Nash Brown and Charles Brown. She graduated from Southeast Guilford High School. Janet was passionate about her work at Stitchmaster, LLC. She liked to spend her free time jamming out to great music, gardening, helping others, and being with friends and family. Her hobbies included painting, poetry and anything crafty. Janet will always be remembered for her welcoming smile and open arms. Janet was beyond a strong woman with a positive attitude. Survivors include daughter Carrie Renee Capps; son Henry Samuel Capps; sisters Faythe Brown Johnson, Sandra Brown Spivey, and Rebecca Brown Wilson; brothers Dwight Brown and Danny Brown; and many extended family and friends.2 Her married name was Capps.1 She married Eddie Capps.1 Janet Elaine Brown was born on August 23, 1959 at North Carolina.3 She died on November 17, 2015 at North Carolina at age 56.2

Mr. Poff was born at Roanoke, Virginia, February 13, 1859, and was 76 years and 18 days of age at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Tennessee Roxanna Donnell on November 14, 1878, and she preceded him in death eight years, six months and l5 days. To this union five children were born. Mr. Poff was converted at Grayson County, Texas, near Whitesboro, at the age of 30 years and joined the Methodist Church. For the past 46 years he has been a faithful servant of the Lord and of the church, and as Rev. Johnston stated in the services, he was ever a devoted father and a loyal honored citizen. He also held the honor of being one of the early residents of Collingsworth County, having come to this section 28 years ago and made his home here since that time. His passing is mourned by many friends, some of whom have known him since since he came to the county and others he has come to know in more recent years. He is survived by three children, W. E. Poff, and Mrs. M. L. Roberson of Wellington, and J. M. Poff, Jr., of Elida, N. M; two sisters, Mrs. T. B. Hardeman of Sherman and Mrs. Lou Robertson of Wellington; two brothers, C. C. Poff of Tulia and W. T. Poff of Wellington. Also 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Nipper, Earl Nipper, Ellis LaHue, Homer Ingram, Gordon Peters and Dabney Peters. Honorary pallbearers: George Brewer, V. G. Simpson, M. A. Huffhines, G. N. Hite, S. B. Bowen, John Martin, Claude Neece and Howard Forbis. on March 7, 1935.1
