The body was taken to Miller & Sons' Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Paul Norris, Indianapolis, officiating. Burial will be in Calcutta cemetery. on January 18, 1949.⁴

Parsons and Octavia Poff, on April 4, 1900 at Parke Co., Indiana.^1,3,5,6 Ida Alice Toney died on April 27, 1951 at Brazil Township, Clay Co., Indiana, at age 72.⁶ She CARBON, Ind., April 28.- Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Alice Parsons, 72 years old, who died Friday at Brazil, will be held at the Miller & Sons Funeral Home there at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. Paul Norris of Indianapolis will officiate and burial will be in the Calcutta cemetery. The widow of the late Samuel E. Parsons, she had resided in Carbon for the past 56 years. She was an active member of the Carbon Church of God. Surviving are five daughters Mrs. Dorothy Black, Mrs. Gertrude Pell, Mrs. Dovie McQueen, Mrs. Thelma Dowell, all of Brazil, and Mrs. Gladys Benslinger, Indianapolis; two sons, Ray E., Carbon and Raymond E., Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Florence Blake, Brazil; a half-sister, Mrs. Ann Carver, Terre Haute. on April 29, 1951.⁶

Funeral services will be held in the Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Donald L. True officiating. Burial will follow in Calcutta Cemetery, northeast of Brazil. Friends may call at the Miller and Sons Chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday. on November 21, 1978.⁴

He was a member of the Carbon Masonic Lodge and had attended the Carbon Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Van Buran Twp. Vounteer Fire Department and was secretary of the Van Buren Township School Building Corporation. Surviving besides his wife, Pauline, are a son, Sam Parsons, Lafayette; 2 daughters, Mrs. Phylis Fipps, Orange, Calif; and Mrs. Nelda Rohrback, Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Pell and Mrs. Thelma Dowell, both of Carbon; Mrs. Dovie McQueen and Mrs. Gladys Beasley, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Raymond Parsons, R.R. 5, Brazil; six grandchildren and several other close relatives. Arrangements are pending at Miller and Sons Funeral Home. on January 4, 1972.⁴

He was preceded by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Black and Mrs. Virginia Butler, and by a brother, Roy E. Parsons. There are four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Moore Funeral Home and will be announced tomorrow. on January 17, 1974.⁴

She was a member of the Carbon Church of God. Surviving are the husband, William; three sons, Billie, Larry Don and Glenn Leroy, all at home; the mother, Mrs. Ida A. Toney Parsons of Brazil; five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Black, Mrs. Gertrude Pell, Mrs. Dovie McQueen and Mrs. Thelma Dowell, all of Carbon, and Mrs. Gladys Beasley of Indianapolis, and two brothers, Ray Parsons of R.R.1, Carbon, and Raymond Parsons of Chicago. The body was taken to the Miller & Sons Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Paul Norris will officiate and burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. on April 18, 1949.⁴
