Reeve in charge of the 15-man honor team. Airman First Class McCorkle was killed in a military plane crash near Albuquerque, N.M. on Sept. 15. Born Aug. 13, 1958, in Beckley, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. McCorkle of Beckley. Also surviving is a brother, Dana of Beckley. A 1976 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, he enlisted in the Air Force in Dec. 197S and went on active duty June 1976, being on the "Bicentennial Flight" to Charleston, where he was sworn in by the governor. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1452, and held five Eagle Palms, the God and Country Award and was a member of the Order of Arrow. He was active with the Order of the Arrow at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, N. C. where he was stationed and was an assistant scoutmaster there. A member of the United Methodist Temple, he was active in the Curtain Callers and a Thespian while in high school. For nearly two years, Airman McCorkle was a news carrier for the Raleigh Register. Friends may call at the Keyser-Bryant Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be Billy Turner, Kevin Price, Michael Paul, Franklin Bosia, Timothy Bellamy, Michael Fairlie, Calvin Crowe and Anthony Pachuta. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Boy Scout troops 1452 and 80 and the Order of the Arrow. on September 24, 1977.4

She is survived by one son, Jason James and his wife Kate of Manassas; two brothers, George Cook of Cool Ridge, WV; Jerry Cook of Lewisburg, WV; three sisters, Rilla Nachand of East New Market, MD; Charlotte Saddenwasser of Seqium, WA; Docia Gross of Tenino, WA; and one granddaughter, Grace James of Manassas. Memorial services will be held on October 11th, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Towson MD. Interment will take place at a later date in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Beckley, West Virginia.2 Her married name was Mitchell.1 She was born on November 27, 1936 at West Virginia.4,2 As of December 9, 1962,her married name was James. She married Joseph Timothy James on December 9, 1962 at Florida. Beatrice Faye Cook and Joseph Timothy James were divorced in 1967 at Virginia.
