     Anna Lee Unknown was buried at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Goochland, Goochland Co., Virginia.2 She was born on March 31, 1921.3 As of circa 1940,her married name was Thornton.2 She married Sanders Harry Thornton, son of Arthur Philmore Thornton and Felitia Pearl Bruce, circa 1940.2 Anna Lee Unknown died on April 19, 2011 at Virginia at age 90.3,2 She Anna Lee Thornton, age 90, died April 19, 2011, surrounded by her family and dear friends after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Anna Lee was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Sanders H. Thornton. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sandra Crouch of Midlothian and close friend, James Rooks; three grandchildren, Steven Crouch and wife, Debbie, of King William, Sharon Crouch Steidel and husband, Bob Steidel, of Richmond, and Scott Crouch and partner, Janet Pike, of Henrico. Anna Lee also received great joy from her four great-grandchildren, Samantha Hale, Coleman, Carson and Joshua Crouch; as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Zoe and Elijah. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Judy Aderhold. Anna Lee moved to Richmond in 1958 from Northfork, West Virginia, with her husband, known to all as Speedy. She worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles and retired from the Virginia House of Delegates in 1981, where she worked as assistant indexer. Anna Lee was a member of Welbourne Methodist Church. She was active in the Eastern Star, was a member of Glen Allen Chapter #61 and was a Past Worthy Matron. Anna Lee was a woman of faith and her family takes comfort knowing she is united in heaven with many dear friends and loved ones who preceded her. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the loving staff of Hanover Manor for their unwavering care and to her many friends at Hanover Manor for their support in her later years. The family received friends on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel located at 412 South Washington Hwy., in Ashland, Va. A graveside service was held Friday, April 22, 2011 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. on April 27, 2011.2

     Norman Lee Altice Norman Lee Altice, 82, of Fort Hill Road, Bristol, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the husband of the late Doris Marie (Mello) Altice. Born in Roanoke, Va., he was the son of the late Leonard William and Claudine (Thurman) Altice. He is survived by his sons, Norman Lee Altice Jr. and his wife Susan of Tennessee, and Kenneth M. Altice of Bristol; his daughter, Jane A. Altice-Leite and her husband Mark of New Hampshire; one granddaughter and one great-grandson. He was the brother of Jean Deyerle and Peggy Adams of Florida. Norman was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS Yosemite. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the Ever-Ready Engine & Hose Co #2 of the Bristol Fire Department. He enjoyed his lifelong career as a toolmaker for Speidel and Dennis Machine Co. She was born May 5, 1910, in Olustee, Okla., daughter of the late William Carl and Zeda Wheeler Setliff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Altice; son, William Marshall Caudell; and a number of siblings. Mrs. Altice was a retired self employed beautician with over 70 years of service to her clients. She was a member of New Covenant Christian Church, enjoyed gardening and loved her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Teddy Glen Caudell; granddaughter, Rhonda Kay Kiser; great-grandchildren, Jessica Kiser and Richard Kiser; great-great-granddaughter, Leah Kiser; brother, Jewett Setliff; sister, Linda Setliff; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Whitfield Fogel Caudell. Graveside services will be conducted at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. The family would like to thank the Friendship Manor Palliative Staff on the 1st floor for all of their loving care and a special thank you to Mrs. Altice's personal friend and caregiver, Mary Jo Knight. on January 25, 2011.1
