She was a devout Christian, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and very recently, a great-great-grandmother and homemaker. Easter was born Dec. 16, 1927, to the late James G. Moore and Tessie M. (Gray) Moore at Skeleton. She was united in marriage to James C. (Buddy) Cook on Dec. 31, 1948, in Marlinton, and remained married for the last 64 years. Easter became a military wife and raised four children, all while travelling around the world with her husband as he served in the U. S. Army. She was a devout Christian and member of Mount View Church of the Nazarene in Huttonsville. Easter was a wonderful cook, baker, gardener, enjoyed arts, crafts and reading. She was gentle and reserved but also passionate in her belifes and a fierce friend. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, James, whom she lost last year; an infant sister, Mary F. Moore; a brother, Dock M. Moore; and another sister, Gertrude A. Moore. Surviving her are a brother, Walter S. Moore, Bluefield, Va; a brother James T. Moore, of Bluefield, Va; a brother, Hubert L. Moore, of Bluefield, Va; a brother Joseph E. Moore, of Brandywine, Md; a sister, Laura L. Moore; daughter, Tessie M. Hooker, of Memphis, Tenn; a daughter, Judy F. Smallwood, of Rineyville, Ky; a daughter, Gladys K. Critchley, of Beverly; and a son, Dewey L. Cook, of Dunmore; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Easter touched many lives throughout her long rich life and will be deeply missed! Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor Brian Headley officiating. Burial will follow at the Dunmore Cementery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements on August 23, 2013.3
