He was born November 12, 1942 in Martinsville, VA to Col. Thomas Spencer Dallas of Martinsville and Mildred Graham Dallas of Floyd, VA. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his uncles, C.C. Buddy Graham, Andrew L. Graham, A. Curtis Graham, Hubert D. Graham, James E. Graham, Stedman Dallas and his aunt Nell Dallas Rislow. Thomas is survived by his son Matthew Donald Dallas and daughter-in-law Mary McMakin Dallas of Sudbury, MA; three beloved grandchildren, Maureen McMakin Bowler, Kiley Joyce Dallas and Margaret Katherine Dallas all of Sudbury, MA. He is also survived by his brother George William Dallas, sister-in-law Randy Roth Dallas of Goodyear, AZ and his sister Kathryn Graham Dallas of Blacksburg, VA. He was a beloved uncle to three nephews, Jason S. Dallas, Trevor V. Dallas and Jacob H. Coggins, and one niece A. Christine Coggins Fay. He was a great uncle to many surviving great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his aunt Virginia Graham Jones of Radford, VA and twelve cousins. Thomas graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, VA in June of 1965. He enlisted and entered service in the Navy on July 2, 1965 and served for six years as a Navy officer. During his service period Thomas served two tours in Vietnam as an Air Intelligence officer on U.S. aircraft carriers. After his years in the service Thomas had a wide-ranging career. He earned a Master of Business degree from the University of Idaho, taught high school and college level business classes, held management positions for numerous companies, sold real estate, and was a small business owner focusing on the sale of manufacturing equipment in the plastics industry. Thomas was a voracious reader all his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and played in a golf league for years in Memphis, TN. He was passionate about gourmet cooking and spent many seasons competing in the 'Memphis in May' world championship barbeque cooking contest. An intelligent, outgoing, caring man, he will be greatly missed by his family and so many who knew and loved him. Thomas was cremated following his death. On December 5, 2019, his ashes will be interned at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, where his mother and father are also buried. on August 10, 2017.3

     Hannah Jean Hobbs was buried at Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, Virginia.4 She Hannah Jean Hobbs Roulstone passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, with her husband of over 43 years by her side. Born on April 14, 1943, in Roanoke, Va., Hannah was the eldest of Dr. Lloyd L. and Ella Thompson Hobbs' three children. She is survived by her husband, Captain D. Bruce Roulstone USN (Ret); stepchildren, Virginia E. McCrone (Kevin) and D. Brian Roulstone (Heather); her sister, Stephena H. Runyan; niece, Erna R. O'Brien and five grandchildren. Hannah graduated from Blacksburg High School and earn a degree in Art from Radford University. She later obtained Special Education credentials from San Diego State University. As a Navy wife, Hannah moved extensively and taught in many different places including California, Florida and Virginia. Over time, the many duties as wife to a Senior Naval Officer required much of her focus so she retired from teaching. Hannah found great inspiration in dedicating her time in support of Navy families. As her husband's career progressed, Hannah had the honor of serving as a diplomat's wife in the Netherlands and Belgium, representing the United States and entertaining senior military and high ranking government officials. Through the years, Hannah spent many hours creating and completing complicated needlepoint works of art. Her exquisite creations will continue to be treasured by the many loved ones she gifted. She was a long time member of the DAR.      Mary Jane Barker Mary Jane Aldridge, age 55 of West Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Aldridge for 28 years. Mary was born in Bridgeport on January 2, 1968, the daughter of the late Arthur and Marcella Kirk Barker and the late Larry Barker. She grew up in Stratford. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing and had worked at Bridgeport Hospital for many years in the cardiac catheter lab. The last few years she worked in a busy cardiac office at Northeast Medical Group in Trumbull. Mary was a dedicated nurse and her care and compassion towards her patients, coworkers and peers that she mentored in the nursing field truly shined through. Mary loved the beach and was always the first one in the ocean no matter how cold the water was. Mary was deeply devoted to her faith, teaching Sunday school, attending bible studies and playing the bass guitar during Sunday services at Haven of Hope Church in Hamden. You could never depart ways without everyone joining hands in prayer. Mary was truly at her happiest whether it was just spending time with her family playing Rummy 500, watching a Yankee's game, or watching movies. Mary was an exemplary human being. During her courageous battle with melanoma, she never once complained. Those who knew her well, knew how deeply she loved and cared for others. She had the most genuine soul and would be there in a heartbeat for anyone no matter what the circumstances, with open loving arms. In addition to her husband Thomas, she is survived by her son, Thomas Aldridge II. She was a devoted wife and mother and was extremely proud of her son Tommy for becoming a US Marine. She is also survived by her siblings Gloria Patterson, Thomas Barker, Bridget Lovell, Paul Story and April Barker, her stepmother Holly Byrne, her mother in-law Betty Aldridge and several loved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in Virginia. "Janie" will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins, especially her cousins, Lisa Ashmore and Michelle Colonna, whom she shared a lifetime bond with. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.2 She was buried at Union Cemetery, 23 Temple Court, Stratford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut.2 She was born on January 2, 1968 at Bridgeport, Fairfield Co., Connecticut.1,2 As of February 18, 1995,her married name was Aldridge.1 She married Thomas Lee Aldridge, son of Marvin Thomas Aldridge and Betty Ruth Williams, on February 18, 1995 at Henry Co., Virginia.1,2 Mary Jane Barker died on September 12, 2023 at West Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 55.2
