Elmie Emmett Chase Elmie Emmett Chase, 89 of Scott Depot, passed away on April 28, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1927 to Emmett Milton and Fannie Florence Chase of Hurricane. Preceding him in death were his loving wife Anna Lou Lambert Chase, his parents, brothers Williard, Harley, Ronald, Billy and sister Linda Riffle. Elmie was a faithful Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a dear friend to so many who loved him. Always putting others first, Elmie was a kind and loving man. He always had a story to tell and many of them were about the 33 years he was employed by Union Carbide. Elmie never met a stranger. He was a member of the Putnam Masonic Lodge #139 A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite Bodies, Charleston. Left to cherish his memory are his son Elmie Randall Chase of Scott Depot, daughter Karen and son-in-law Donald Wilson of St. Albans; grandchildren Sean and his wife Melissa, Trevor Chase, Elizabeth and her husband, Matthew Bobbera, Ashley Wilson, great-grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron, Audrey, Hannah, Autumn, Thomas and Alex, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved them all and was quick to share that with everyone. We would like to thank the staff at Teays Valley Center for their excellent and loving care. Also special thanks to his angel here on earth, his care-giver Clara Rhodes, her husband Ed and their family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, May 2, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with the Reverend Richie McNiel officiating. Born July 28, 1922, in Royal, she was the daughter of the late Cleve and Eva Adkins Redden. Mrs. Radford was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Beckley. She was a member of Golden Gate Rebekah Lodge No. 206, Grand Nobles Club, Odd Fellows Club, Lady L.A.P.M. No. 5, the historical society and childcare center. She was a lifelong Beckley resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas A. Radford Sr; two sisters, Opal Crabbs and Betty Cheek; and four brother, Jimmy, Cleve Jr., Buddy and Donnie Redden. Survivors include a son, Dallas A. Radford II of Beckley; a daughter, Lovonia Terry of Charleston, S.C; a brother, Jackie Redden of Hanover, Pa; and three grandchildren, Anthony "Jud" Radford and Sherry Shumate, both of Beckley, and Chuck Lester of Charleston, S.C. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with Pastor Jim Lough officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. on October 12, 2001.2

Gibson, of Milton; brother, Jim and wife, Patti Wygal, of Poca; two sisters, Patti and husband, Frank Neary, of Winfield and Debbie and husband, Ed Bridgette, of Poca; two sisters-in-law, Jean and Mitzi Roberts both of St. Albans; and one grandson, T.J. Gibson. Barbara is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Eric Hicks and the Right at Home Health Care Agency and Jeff Carrier and the staff at Kanawha Hospice for all their love and support. A special thank you goes to Brenda, Delma, Marilyn, Micki and Joann for being so good to Mom. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at 15th Street Church of God, Nitro, with Rev. Arley Cravens and Pastor Rob Van Fossen officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park. on July 9, 2005.4
